Cosy Thanksgiving stay
What a great place! The bar area with fireplace has a delightfully comfortable Old world club feel to it. The relaxed vibe on cool Seattle days makes you want to settle into the luxurious leather sofas, with a glass of wine and dream of days of a forgotten age of adventure and discovery! An atmosphere rarely found in the many formula hotel chains that the Arctic Club competes with. Glad we found this gem! A tour of the Dome Room is a must.

Beautiful historic hotel with exceptional service, great food and drinks, and a relaxing atmosphere. Rooms are comfortable with ample bath space. The area outside the hotel is grungy, with a lot of homeless just across the street. The hotel offers valet parking and a hot breakfast, which had a lot of food options.

Overall it was okay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Area around the hotel is a bit sketchy. Lots of homeless and garbage. Hotel itself is an older/historic building. It has lots of lovely charm but it definitely needs some cleaning and updating. Some of the carpets look like they havenā€™t been updated in decades. Our room- hot and stuffy. The air /fan only seemed to have one speed and one temperature. My boyfriend and I were in town for a concert and when we went to take a shower, the entire handle snapped in half and hurt my boyfriendā€™s hand and the water wouldnā€™t turn off. We were finally able to wrap a towel around it and get it to turn off. We ended up not being able to take showers before the concert. It WAS fixed by the time we got back. The carpets in the room were stained and very old. None of the windows could crack or vent, which was unfortunate considering the stuffiness of the room. The breakfast buffet was a little lacking and some of the items we tried were literally inedible. Overall, a lovely old hotel, but I donā€™t think Iā€™d stay again.

We had an excellent stay at the Arctic Club. If you like old timey fancy, this is the place for you. We had a room on the top floor with a balcony overlooking the city, and windows along two walls. We loved the room, and the bar and restaurant was very nice as well. We sat near the fireplace and it was lovely. Like other people have mentioned, there are quite a few homeless people nearby, but that's just part of staying in downtown Seattle. We still felt safe though. Overall, I would highly recommend the Arctic Club.

Overall very happy
A little dissapointed that the room was not cleaned on a daiy basis as we were out of body soap and toilet paper and had to ask at desk for it. Tip for drinks in the lounge was automatically added at 20%. Tips should be choice of guest not just automatically applied. Staff was helpfull and very courtious. Parking at hotel was $62/ night ( thats crazy)

Love the old but renovated building. Good spot in town near the football stadium. Good food nearby, and amazing staff. Smelled excellent in the lobby. This part of town is a little filled with unhoused folks.

Downtown hotel with an old explorer theme
Beautiful old school hotel with a great location, right at the Pioneer Square 1-line train station. A short walk to where I was having meetings and some good restaurants. Nice looking bar and restaurant that I didn't have a chance to enjoy. Very friendly staff.

The Artic Club: not bad, older, historic property. Itā€™s mostly in ok shape. We had a bad experience at check in though! We knew we would likely be arriving too early to check in right away, but we were hoping to get an early check in at some point in the day. We arrived at Sea-Tac airport- 6am on an international flt then arrived at the hotel around 8:30am. Since we knew we would be arriving so early I had checked with the hotel a couple days prior to see if we might be able to check in a bit early. I only received a form email back with no real info. When we arrived at the front desk we were told that there were others in front of us for early check in and we were 6th on the list. Kind of a bummer since I had enquired a couple days ago. But we stored our bags with them and went out for breakfast. We were incredibly exhausted (20 hours of travel to get to Seattle and a 16 hour time difference made for a great deal of jet lag) and couldnā€™t be out and about in the city for long so we headed back to the hotel lobby. We got back to the lobby just before noon. Noon to 4pm we watched the front desk check in over 20 other rms early while we sat exhausted in the lobby. We checked in with staff but no luckā€¦ and no empathy at all! Eventually, the manager that got us checked in and was very apologetic. I didnā€™t get her name, but i appreciate her. I know early check in isnā€™t guaranteed but to watch so many others that arrived after us get checked in was pretty brutal.

Beautiful! Such an easy check in and wonderful customer service and bar. Easy walking to great bars speakeasy's and places to eat. The walrus and Marie Antoinette were two favorite cocktails we had in the polar Bar. Pair with a tour of the Klondike Museum, a pop in at Filson and a walk around Occidental Park for a great afternoon!

The property was nice are room was on the colder side and the thermostat didnā€™t seem to fix the problem. I would have moved rooms if it wasnā€™t just one night. Lower level was noisier but the vaulted ceilings made room feel bigger.
