About this space
Welcome to our coastal home! This historical building is charmingly located next to a fishway of the Mill Pond. Every year in May, there are hundreds of alewife coming through the fishway everyday to the Walkers Pond to lay eggs. We are so proud that our property is part of this exciting event! The apartment is newly renovated 2022, and we are planning to turn the old post office (downstairs) into an art studio in the near future. We hope you will enjoy this scenic property as much as we do!
The space
This is an apartment newly renovated in 2022 and located on the SECOND floor of the property. (First floor is for our personal storage and NOT part of this Airbnb). It has two bedrooms, both bedrooms have a full size bed. The couch in the living room can be used as a full size bed as well.

Our place is ideal for 4 or less guests, however there is room for 6 people to sleep and we do not charge extra guests fees.

We have a window AC and each bedroom has a standing fan & living room has a ceiling fan.

We have Wifi, smart TV, board games and books for you to entertain. Well equipped kitchen for you to cook homemade meal even on a vacation.

There are some quirky parts of this apartment. The second bedroom is connected with the first one. Although it has an emergency fire escape. To enter or leave the second bedroom, you must passing through the first bedroom. Also, stairs! One must climb two stairs to enter the bathroom and the bedroom.

Convenient & Comfortable
We chose this rental because it was close to all that Blue Hill has to offer. We visited Castine, Blue Hill and Stonington, all a short drive from this rental. It was well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed the location next to an old Mill Pond as well.

The apartment was just as described. Completely comfortable, cute and quirky. I would have loved for some outdoor space to enjoy, as the apartment was directly on the road. Our stay was during a heatwave and the bedrooms were incredibly hot. With only one a/c in the living room it was very tough keeping the furthest bedroom a reasonable temperature. Children’s toys and a smart tv were great for the kids. Checking in&out was easy and we and had no problems with our host.

We had no idea how many fabulous outdoor adventures there are in this area, WITHOUT the Acadia crowds! This property is beautiful: super clean, comfortable furniture, very responsive and helpful host. We will be back for sure - it's a find!

I needed a quiet respite from a busy life and this space provided that! Not only was it clean, artfully designed/decorated, but it had a beautiful view of a pond and stream with the relaxing & meditative sound of the water heard at all times! Close to hiking trails & other beautiful scenery as well! Will recommend to others!

Great spot!
The location is perfect. So many adventures in every direction! The apartment was very clean and cozy. Our kids loved checking out the fish in the backyard. That was a huge bonus. All in all, it was the perfect spot for our family of four!
