House located in Val de Baubère, a small valley near the village of Seix

The house is bright, spacious, (130 m2) located in the heart of nature in a small peaceful valley very close to the village of Seix (1 km, 3 minutes by car). The very quiet place invites relaxation and well-being. Many hikes are directly possible from the house, in all directions; valleys of Salat, Oust, Seix or to the many mountain trails. You can go to the village on foot, passing through the forest (15 minutes, track of the castle of Seix). From the house, located high up, there is a beautiful panorama of the surrounding hills, forests and mountain peaks. A large garden allows you to eat outside and enjoy the sun.
There is a private parking lot (not covered) in front of the house. You can also park a second car on the property, which is surrounded by 3000 m2 of wooded land.
The rental, on two floors, has an area of 130 m2: An entrance, a living room, four bedrooms, the kitchen, a pantry, a bathroom and the toilets (independent). Tool and wood shed at the bottom of the garden opposite the kitchen (see photos).
On the ground floor, you find:
 - Entrance with large coat rack, shoe cupboard, mirror. Separate WC. Cellar (with washing machine).
- A large, spacious living room (42 m2), fully equipped; 4 armchairs, 1 shepherdess 3 places, 1 convertible sofa (sleeping two people, sofa bed). TV, DVD player (library books, dvd and CD), hi-fi and internet connection. A large French window (south) gives access to a large balcony (8 m2) with a view opposite on a wooded hill, a view on the left on the garden and the forest, a view on the right on the mountain peaks. The three windows allow pleasant sunshine from morning to evening.
- One bedroom (11 m2), with many cupboards. Two 80 cm beds, fitted with slatted bed bases, also allow a 160 cm bed if put side by side. The window overlooks the garden and the surrounding mountain peaks. Children's games and books.
- A large fully fitted kitchen; 4-burner gas hob, oven, extractor hood, toaster, large fridge, table (extendable), chairs, cutlery for 8 people, etc. A large sliding picture window allows direct access from the kitchen into a large sunny garden, with table, garden chairs and parasol for dining outside.
another bedroom of 10 m2, a window with a view of the wooded hills. 2 single beds of 90 cm by 190 cm.

- Upstairs: The bathroom with shower, sink, mirror, WC and small closet.
- A bedroom of 12 m2, equipped with large closets, a double bed, bedside tables. A French window opens to the east, overlooking the garden and mountain peaks.
-Another bedroom of 13 m2, also equipped with large closets and a 160 cm double bed. Two windows with view on hills and forest. Bedside tables and desk.

In case the double beds are only used by single people (singles), extra beds can possibly be added: only on prior request.
The paved driveway stops in front of the house, where you can park directly. The building is isolated, surrounded by trees, not overlooked with the other houses in the hamlet (all spread out further down the mountain). In addition, these few houses are widely separated from each other by land, various mountain paths and trees in abundance. Likewise, there is no vis-à-vis the barn fitted out below the rental; its rehabilitation has been specially designed to avoid direct overcrowding (entrances and gardens completely separate). Only the owners stay there during certain periods of school holidays.

The rental is from Saturday to Saturday and is planned for 8 + people. Sheets are not provided. The cleaning is carried out by the tenants. Animals are accepted provided they do no damage. The heating is electric, there is a wood insert in the living room. Hot water is supplied by an electric water heater.

Au calme en Ariège
Suite un accueil très agréable et aux petits soins de notre hôte, nous avons profité de l'emplacement du gîte pour randonner (Bois de Cos, Cascade d'ars, Cirque de Cagateille, Bois d'Oust) et découvrir les environs (St Lizier, marché de St Girons, petites églises et nombreux marchés). Le grand salon du gîte permet au groupe de passer de bons moments. Un semaine que l'on n'a pas vu passée.

confort, calme, situation idéale pour des départs en randos
Grande maison confortable avec 4 vraies chambres, une cuisine opérationnelle et un très grand salon. L'endroit est calme au point d'avoir aperçu une biche sur la pelouse... Le propiétair est réactif et attentionné. Seix est un village sans grand intérêt, mais un carrefour stratégique pour des randos dans toutes les directions. Le seul bémol est l'accès en voiture à la maison: une pente raide avec un seul stationnement qui ne permet pas le retournement, le retour se fait donc en marche arrière. C'est inhabituel mais on s'y fait très vite. Si l'occasion se présente, je relouerai cette maison sans hésitation.

rust en ruimte
Voor vakantiegangers die geen gelikte all inclusive beleving voor hun vakantie zoeken is deze locatie (huis en omgeving) een openbaring en dat alles gelegen op 1,5 km van het dorp met een prima bakker en supermarktje. Zeker vermelding verdient de plaatselijk epicerie du chateau waar de tijd zo ongeveer 75 jaar stilgestaan lijkt te hebben. Alles wat je nodig hebt is in het huis met 4 grote slaapkamers en 2 douches aanwezig. Zelfs een staafmixer behoort tot de keukenuitrusting. Marc, eigenaar beheerder, was zeer voorkomend en laagdrempelig om kleine probleempjes op te lossen. Helemaal prima.

Une maison très agréable pour passer ses vacances dans la nature. Grand salon très accueillant et avec de jolies vues sur la forêt. Bien placé a l’entrée de Seix. Parmi les possibilités d’amélioration: matelas des lits simples assez rudes (pas les doubles qui eux sont confortables), lors de fortes chaleurs (ce fut le cas en aout) un ou plusieurs ventilateurs seraient appréciables pour les pièces communes au moins. Finalement, même si leur absence est indiquée dans l’annonce (tout à la fin), le standard locatif de nos jours est quand même d’inclure un nettoyage et des draps.

Une bonne surprise
La maison en elle même est super, c.est grand, il y a tout ce dont on a besoin. Quelques petits bémols cela dit concernant l'extérieur, côté jardin, si possible installer un grillage ou une barrière à mi-hauteur, afin que les petits soient en sécurité. Pour le côté environnement, le cadre est sympathique et les randonnées depuis le gîte, très appréciées, seulement le stationnement reste problématique, le gîte peut accueillir jusqu'à 8-10 personnes mais seulement une ou deux voitures... et puis il faut être vigilant de les avoir bien fermées à clé à cause du voisinage (mais cela reste indépendant de cotre volonté). La propreté des environs laisse aussi à désirer (mais ça, encore, ce n'est pas tellement de votre faute...). Une bonne expérience dans l'ensemble, merci à vous.

Un îlot de tranquillité en pleine nature, mais à quelques minutes en voiture des commerces de Seix. Belles ballades au départ de la maison et pistes de ski à 20km (30 minutes en voiture) Maison claire, spacieuse, agréable. Nous reviendrons volontiers!

Un havre de paix en pleine nature!
Nous sommes trois citadins nantais qui ont vécu trois semaines,du 28 aout au 18 septembre 2021 dans un gîte au milieu d'une belle et grande clairière dans la forêt avec vue sur la montagne ariègeoise. Très bon accueil du propriétaire. Renseignements et consignes précis. Maison lumineuse avec une grande et confortable pièce à vivre. Propriété agréable située à la sortie de Seix. par contre l'accés à la propriété pour un véhicule n'est pas simple. Le stationnement possible à 100m sert aussi de parking pour deux épaves de camping-car. Ce qui donne une mauvaise impression à l'arrivée
