Really convenient and close to chungmuro station. Room is great, though no aircon in the winter. They did provide fan for circulation in the room. Bring your own toothbrush or other toiletries as they do not provide, only the basic shampoo soap and towels. Staff are friendly. 10mins walk to myeong dong as well.

Staff are friendly and we can easily communicate with the.team in English. The space is large, staying in 2 bedroom deluxe room. The living room and main bedroom are large. The second room was extremely small with 2 single beds and 1 bedside table in the centre separating the beds - the door cannot be fully opened and no where to put clothes (no where to hang or shelves), suitcases and clothes were put outside the room. The main bedroom is spacious but also needs shelves. Fortunately the road besides our main room and living space was not noisy in the morning Appreciate the washing machine (500KRW for 1x laundry pod from reception) and large clothes horse. The sofa was not soft and inviting and the back cushions easily slip and fall around. The bathroom and kitchen is definitely dated and you can see patch works on cabinetry and tub. Quick several minutes walk to Myeongdong shops. The back street to hotel has a police station on the main road and is the direction to Myeongdong and shops, as the front/reception is not easily accessible by foot. Taxi/uber drivers gets slightly confused with the GPS to front of hotel as it is complicated, but they always manage to do U turns and drive is to the front.

We only stayed a night. The beds were clean and sheets were obviously clean. I am a germophobe though so I am used to taking a disinfectant wipe through all touch surfaces and I picked up a lot of dirt on touch surfaces. The bathroom seemed clean though. It is very deteriorated and needs updating. The kitchenette also needs some more detailed cleaning (we did not use it-it was only 1 night) The staff was extensive kind and helpful. The area has many restaurants and is within a 10 minute walk to the Main Street full of shopping and foodie galore. It is a strenuous walk, going up a hill and down and it must be done since there is a very dangerous highway that can’t be outrun. I’m glad it was only 1 night. I would probably compare this hotel to a US days inn? But the staff was AMAZINGLY kind.

This place was fabulous value for money. We had the 2 bedroom unit and it was perfect for our family of 4. My son who is in a wheelchair found this a very accessible hotel and the restaurants and Myeongdong area was convenient enough to get around! Thank you!

Loved this property. Added an additional night to our stay and the staff were able to make sure we stayed in the same room. In addition they were kind enough to help us set up transportation from the airport to the hotel. This made our arrival so much easier and pleasant. Great location to get around the city. Did have trouble finding reasonably priced meal options in the area, but that’s not on the hotel at all.

The room was very spacious and clean. Unfortunately, on the first night the air conditioning wasn’t working so the staff was kind enough to provide oscillating fans. This issue was resolved the following day. The living areas were open and made it feel like a home. The restrooms did appear a little outdated though. Location was great for our visit. It was easy and walkable to the majority of places we needed. If you are taking a bus to the hotel, I recommend contacting the hotel for the the best route to get to them. We used the various map apps and they made us go up a very big hill with heavy luggage which wasn’t ideal. The front desk told me how to use another easier entrance. I would stay here again and recommend to others.

Wonderful Stay At Oriens
We stayed at Oriens 2 bedroom Suite for 8 nights and it was great! The room was big equiped with kitchenette, washer & dryer function. We do hope that they will improve by having 2 bathroom instead of 1 for the 2 bedroom suite. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They assisted us to book hotel transfers and even hailed us a cab when we requested. Hotel is conveniently at Chungmu-ro station and walkin distance to Myeongdong. :) very convenient. Thank you Oriens Hotel & Residence for your assistance during our stay and you definitely made our 1st trip to Korea an enjoyable and memorable one.

Cheap but that is what we would get
I stayed for 4 nights with my daughter and a friend of mine. When I got the room card and went upstairs, the room smelled musty. When I touched the duvet, I thought it was dry, but when I sat on the bed, it was a little damp, like my pants were wet. I tried to change room, but there were one other rooms left, and to change to the one remaining room would cost me another 400,000 won, so I decided to stay. First of all, the duvet is old, a little bit tattered, and it's very heavy when you put it on. When I tried to open the window to ventilate the room, there was a long hole in the side of the mosquito net, so I couldn't open it. The next day, the hotel taped it up with clear tape. There's a washing machine, but you have to buy detergent for it, and being from a foreign country, I didn't know what kind of detergent to use. It was nice that they provided a bottled water every day. I had a hard time getting to the hotel by taxi because the drivers didn't know where the hotel was. The hotel is on the side of a mountain, so the lobby is on the fourth floor, and the back door is closer to the Chungmuro station, so we went down to the first floor and used the back door a lot. The back door is very dark at night. There are two stairs with quite a long gap between them, and it's hard to see at night. My friend went to the hospital because the rail at the end of the stairs came off and she fell. Her right ligament was torn. Luckly bones were ok.

The room had a small kitchen area (which we had forgotten about since we booked several months prior) with a laundry machine, which is very convenient! The room was really nice, the air conditioning was on point - we didn't manage it, I think it was automatic. Not too cold, not too warm. Everything was great overall. I also want to add points for great service ! The hotel team is really nice and friendly. I lost my bank card after one day in Seoul and they directly contacted the last shop I went to. My card has been found after I left for Busan and the staff contacted me directly, and kept it safe for me. 🥹 Thank you so so much ❤️
