Cute…Beautiful Yard…Scary Drive
The drive to the cabin was pretty much terrifying. We stayed at a property on the other side of Pigeon Forge about a month prior to our stay here, and that drive was scary too. I think it just comes with staying in the mountains. I certainly wouldn’t want to make the drive in the winter. There are several spots in the road where you are at such a steep angle that you cannot see past the hood of your car. The driveway is somewhat difficult to turn into because of the angle from the road, and there’s no way to turn around in it, so you have to back all the way out, but it’s manageable. We did notice that there were several cigarette butts all over the driveway, along with some trash.
The cabin itself is cute, and homey. The deck is screened in, and much larger than pictured. The yard is beautiful. The cabin itself smelled musty, but nothing too terrible. The only TV that worked was the one in the bedroom downstairs. The air hockey table does not have enough air blowing to play a game. The hot tub jets were very finicky. There were dishwasher tablets in each bathroom instead of hand soap, and none in the kitchen. I found it interesting that they provide shampoo, conditioner, dishwasher tablets and dishsoap, but no hand soap.
Overall, the cabin seemed very clean (and I’m a housekeeper by profession), and private, despite having a neighbor right at the end of the driveway.
We did not cook at the house, so I can’t speak to the quality of the kitchen appliances.
