DETAILS:
This custom-built, modern 3 bedroom/2.5 bath house sleeps up to 6 guests. A secluded, natural retreat -- perfect for couples, families, reunions, or small groups of friends. Perched atop a private 36-acre hill, the house offers spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains and the valley, both indoors and outdoors.
Guests will take the private driveway to the top of the hill. Please note, the driveway is gravel, windy, and reasonably steep -- so anxious or new drivers may not be comfortable -- and, in the winter, guests should plan to arrive in 4-wheel or all-wheel drive automobiles. As you pull up to the house, you'll catch a glimpse of the beautiful views the house offers.
Step inside the front door into the modern, open-concept living room. Anchored by a beautiful, open-hearth fireplace and framed by panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, the living room offers plenty of room to relax, unwind, and catch up with friends. It is complete with a piano, record player, library, and a selection of games for guests to enjoy. The living room opens up to the dining area and the kitchen. You'll find stunning views from all three areas. The exterior walls of the room are all glass, and there are several doors to the patio and yard for easy indoor-outdoor living. An outdoor grill and dining table are perfect when the weather is nice. Behind the kitchen is a laundry and game room, featuring an arcade with all of the classic games you can imagine. There is also a half bath off the living room.
Want to see the best views? Take the spiral stairwell next to the front door to the observation deck. Step outside at the top, and take in the best views in Tennessee! With unblocked, 360-degree views, you can see the whole area. Because the stairs are long and there are open areas on the observation deck (see photos), guests with mobility issues and young children should skip the observation deck. Don't worry -- the views at main level are incredible too!
Step off the living room or walk down the hall to access the master suite. Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, a custom king-sized bed, expansive closet space, and a spacious spa-like bathroom, the master suite is a perfect retreat. The master suite offers the best access to the hot tub, which is neatly tucked away on the private patio. Enjoy the amazing, spa-like bathroom, which was custom-built in 2024, featuring a massive, walk-in shower/steam room with wrap-around seating, body jets, a hand shower, and a rain head. It's the nicest shower we've ever seen!
Beyond the master suite, guests enter the second half of the house, which is home to two additional bedrooms, a TV room (with daybed), a full bathroom, and a yoga loft (with twin bed). A small TV room at the front, with a twin-sized daybed, is a great option for some downtime. At the back, there are two additional king-sized bedrooms, each with a private patio. These three rooms share access to the second spa-like bathroom, which was also custom-built in 2024, featuring a massive, walk-in shower with wrap-around seating, body jets, a hand shower, and a rain head. In the hallway between the bedrooms, there is a metal staircase (see photos -- not ideal for bad knees or toddlers), which leads to a secluded loft space -- perfect for morning yoga or as a quiet, additional sleeping space for a single guest.
Guest Access:
House access is via electronic lock, so guests are allowed to check-in at their convenience after the check-in time (4pm).
Because of the driveway, we do recommend guests try to plan their arrival during the daylight hours. While certainly not impossible, it can be a bit uncomfortable climbing the driveway for the first time at night.
The Neighborhood:
Belltop is located in the beautiful Wears Valley area, a perfect basecamp for scenic drives along Foothills Parkway, hiking in the Smokies, or shopping and fun in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. For the best access to the park, be sure to use the Cades Cove entrance. The Little Brier trailhead is the closest to the house, just over 5 miles away.
Groceries and shopping are available in Pigeon Forge, about 9 miles (around 20 minutes by car) away.
Getting Around:
We highly recommend visiting Belltop with a car. While there may be rideshares in the area, service to and from the house may be unreliable. In the winter, we recommend guests arrive with all-wheel or 4-wheel drive automobiles only.
Interaction with Guests:
Guests will have exclusive access to the property. If you have any questions during your stay, we will be available via messenger.
