We had a fab stay, there was a little queue at check in and only 2 staff on so the queue moved a little slow however i believe there was an event on the evening so the hotel was quite busy. We were offered a room close to the spa which was quite far from the main reception however perfect for us as we wanted to be in a quiet location and this was perfect. The hotel is like a maze! We encountered many people lost with many corridors and multiple lifts in different areas it is very easy to get lost in! We ate breakfast in the hotel which was buffet style, we arrived around 9am and werr seated straight away. It was average but nice. We used the spa facilities and on the evening it was quite busy and not really enough space for everyone. We had nowhere to sit and relax the pool smelt a little funny but not sure of what tbh. We left after half an hour and returned the next morning which was much quieter and cleaner. The staff also seemed much more friendly and happy to help in the morning (we didnt encounter any rude staff just the morning ataff were more upbeat and friendly) we passed cleaners along the corridors who were happy to help with directions and all seemed friendly. The christmas decorations around the hotel are stunning and really get you in the christmassy mood. Would go again and would reccomend for a little chill break.

Bit of a bumpy start. Check in 45 minutes later after being given our key to a family room that had not been cleaned at all. And the other 2 rooms not ready either. Deputy manager did sort it out in tyne end and complimentary drinks which was nice. Food in the restaurant was fine. Hotel rooms were nice. Treatments were good and relaxing. Pool area still a little tired looking but all in all had a lovely night. Just shame it costs so much to stay in a uk hotel for one night. Prob could have had a holiday abroad! But we did enjoy your stay

Lovely hotel but a little tired
Short trip to Durham City, 30 minutes away. The hotel and grounds are lovely to look at from a distance but internally a little tired. Our junior suite very comfortable and roomy. Very comfortable bed. Updated bathroom. Pity the room had instant coffee rather than a coffee machine or coffee bags given that it claims to be 4*. Good food and lovely staff throughout.

Lovely 3 night stay
We had a lovely 3 night stay at Redworth Hall. It is a beautiful building and our room was huge. We used the pool, the restaurant, the bar. We also had the best afternoon tea we have had. The staff are lovely and friendly too.

Like the pool. Didn't like rowdy kids jumping in to the pool, running all over the place and their parents not controlling them and Redworth staff didn't do anything. Really put us off the facility.
