Amazing property off the beaten track
This was my second time staying at the property in the last few months. The last stay was so great, that I had to return for a second experience. One of the comfiest beds with old school home-made comforter/quilts and Westin-bed level pillows. Super quiet and peaceful and the hosts are wonderful.

The PERFECT getaway!! 10 out of 5!!
If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay that is only minutes away from the Schwartz Bay ferry line but feels miles away from the city this is it! The property sit snuggled away at the end of an unremarkable road with a reveal as you enter the drive, that is breathtaking! Paul has created a space that is modern yet organic in design. He is an avid woodworker and it shows in the framing of the greenhouse, garden, tables and the horse paddock. One warning though, be prepared to be welcomed by Lexie and Juno, two of the most loving golden retrievers I have ever met! They become instant friends with the toss of a ball! Once you get over the awe of the property, a beautifully appointed room awaits you. Paul has provided all the necessities one might need for a nights stay or a weeks get away. The queen bed is medium soft and comfortable for back and side sleeping. All your kitchen needs are taken care of, whether it be a snack or a full meal. Outside Paul has provided a propane grill, perfect for steaks or grilling veggies. In the back he has built a spacious fire pit, perfect for a quiet evening sit by the pond or a mallow roast for s’mores. And don’t fret about mosquitoes! The huge presence of dragonflies takes care of that problem and provides natural beauty as well. Be sure to make friends with Buttons and Buddy, two miniature ponies that LOVE a snack of willow from the tree on the property. With full access to the grounds of the property a stay feels more

Lovely spot for couples to stay
The owners were very accommodating to our needs with our Golden Retrievers. The acreage is lovely, complete with two miniature horses, a spring-fed pond and nearby walking trails. The room had a comfortable bed with a mini-kitchen (microwave, fridge, sink, toaster oven), dishes and utensils. Nice shower and tub. Our only suggestion would be to have a clothes closet vs. the hooks along the wall. And perhaps an extra pillow or two. The stay was so peaceful. Lovely picnic table outside the door, with BBQ. Wished we had more time there instead of our planned activities each day.

North Saanich country hideaway
This was perfect for a place to rest and read the books I had put off reading. There was internet and friendly dogs and host, but I had privacy. The outside area is huge with a new patio with barbecue. It is close to the ferry, but you do have to have transportation to go to restaurants or stores. I would stay again.
