Access to the pool from the rooms was great. The beds were very comfortable, the aircon worked well and the staff were very friendly. The property was well-located for the centre of Siem Reap, so we found it convenient and we enjoyed our stay there. We put a lot of clothes through the laundry and all came back nicely done. As a negative, one of our rooms had cockroaches which they didn't manage to eradicate - you half expect this as it is a tropical climate, but our teenager wasn't keen. They did offer to change their room, but those with pool access all seemed to be taken. As constructive criticism: the breakfast was ok, but for the continental breakfast, more variety of fruit, jam, thicker yoghurt, better coffee and hot water for green tea would have been nice. Getting a non-alcoholic fruit drink in the bar proved a little challenging. At times it was hard to make ourselves understood, so working on the English language skills would be helpful. But all in all a nice place to stay.

The hotel is quiet and natural. It located 15min by foot from the city. Staff are very nice with smiling. I enjoyed swimming at the pool which is surrounded by beautiful green tree.

I had a good experience staying in this hotel. It is a clean and tidy room, the hotel is surrounded by green trees, it looks lovely in the morning. Breakfast was good and the service and reception were friendly, I would recommend. If I had the chance to visit Siem Reap, I would stay at this hotel again.

Absolutely beautiful place. Elegant even, for such a low price. Lots of plants. 2 pools. Decent breakfast buffet. Other restaurant meals subpar with tiny servings, though. But very happy and they set up temple tour with guide and tuk tuk for me. Would stay again for sure.

The staff was kind and helpful. When our room was cleaned, dirty towels were removed, but new towels weren’t always replaced. We found rodent feces on the floor. The front door was warped, and the balcony door didn’t seal, allowing a small opening. The pool was nice and refreshing. The coffee at breakfast was sometimes room temperature, but the fresh fruit was amazing. The included breakfast needed improvement most of the time. The laundry service was handy, but some items weren’t completely clean, and once we got someone else’s shirt. The hotel sent a tuktuk driver to the airport to pick us up, and we continued to use him the entire time. He did an awesome job! If improvements are made, we would be happy to stay here again.

Friendly staff. Booked a room with a garden view and was given a musty room the view being a concrete wall about 1 metre from the window. No choice but to pay for an upgrade. TV and phone did not work. I asked for it to be fixed and 2 days later they had not even bothered to check it. Found later you can stay in a proper 5 star hotel for about $10 more than we paid. They did organise a good guide for Angkor Wat.

The hotel looks like it was probably very nice when it was first built, but absolutely has not been maintained. Our towels were stained and the edges were unraveling, the drapes were stained. Tile and grout in the pools were missing. The hotel was quiet at night and the grounds were pretty. We walked everywhere but it was not easily walkable. Maybe slightly too far from the core of town.

Ladear is a quality Boutique Hotel with a wonderful caring management and staff. Helpful, friendly, caring, fun and kind. This was my second visit to Siem Reap and if I return i will definitely stay with Ladear Hotel again.

Hot Stinky Room
Very nice place but sewer gas stink from the bathroom and the a/c was not cold enough. Security box not bolted to anything, just sitting on a shelf loose.

Unfortunately, we did not start well as we were told that we had a room other than the one I had booked as there was a problem with their system! Eventually we were given the pool access room I had booked and paid for, but our first night was in an old room, called the cabana room, which was extremely old and in bad condition! It had a three way bathroom and each section of it was tiled and finished differently! The toilet door did not close ; the facilities were just old! We were given a free massage and free dinner for our trouble but unfortunately that experience set the mood for our entire stay in Siem Reap. What I objected to the most was the fact that they tried to convince me that the room I had payed for, was the same as the old room they offered as a substitute !
