Amazing stay in the jungle!
We loved our stay at Sinhagiri villa. The family that runs it are lovely and very friendly. We really recommend the cooking class, that was such an amazing experience. The food in general is super flavourful. The homestay is close to Sigiriya Rock and Pidurangala and the hosts can help arrange a lot of different activities. Higly recommend!

A lovely homestay just outside the main strip of Sigiriya. The most welcoming and friendly hosts. The rooms are what you would expect for the price. Nice and clean, air-conditioning. It is in beautiful nature so expect animal noises (peacocks, dogs, birds). We ate both breakfast and dinner at their restaurant Green Hut Restaurant which is next door. The food was delicious and made with organic produce from their garden.

Had a great stay. The hosts were amazing and very hospitable, providing juice on arrival and breakfast in the morning. Would definitely commend! Very small issue; could use some more plugs in the room to charge devices, but not major issue at all.

Great place to stay!!
We stopped here on an overnight stop off to climb Pidurangala Rock. We checking nice a quick and were shown to our room. Nice and close to both rocks, even when my partner fell and hurt her ankle the lady who worked there tended to it for her which was lovely!! Thank you!!

Tolle Unterkunft mit super Essen
Die herzlichen Gastgeber machen diese Unterkunft unvergesslich. Das Essen ist aussergewöhnlich lecker und die Lage des Hotels ist ideal. Der Lionsrock ist nur wenige Minuten vom Hotel entfernt. Die Gastgeber helfen gerne beim Organisieren von Ausflügen und passen sich individuell den Gästen an. Die Safari in den Kaudulla Nationalpark war ein Ratschlag des Gastgebers und im Nachhinein eines der Highlights auf unserer Reise in Sri Lanka.

Great base for Sigiriya and surrounds.
The location is great to the two rocks and the roof top is nice too looking towards Sigiriya. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious. The family/staff are always around to help out as required and they are easy going and friendly. We visited the rock, ancient cities and Dambulla from this great base. The room was great value, we enjoyed our stay! Definately recommend a stay here.

Great Place to Stay in Sigiriya
Fantastic hotel within short walking distance of Lions Rock. Room was attractive, clean, and comfortable. Staff was attentive and kind. The food was amazing and affordable. If you stay here, it would not make sense to eat elsewhere. Overall, it was a great stay. I used this hotel as a base to see sites in sigiriya, dambulla, and polonnaruwa. It worked out really well to be close to everything but to have a nice peaceful place to come back to.

Lion Rock
The home maker owner lady was very friendly and gave super introduction to the place. Excellent atmosphere. Wonderful collections on garden. The restaurant nearby the property was well managed and fully vegetarian food offered by them was very tasty and super. Do not miss the stay here.

Walking distance from Sigiriya
This is a great place to stay if you are looking to visit Sigiriya and nearby Pidurangala. It's literally walking distance from the entrance to the rock! The hotel itself isn't particularly fancy, but the room was clean, airconditiioned and with hot water so it had what I needed. But the restaurant provided a bit extra, with very decent food at reasonable value. I would definitely recommend staying here if you intend to visit the Rock, but it is little out of the way to visit anywhere else without a tuk tuk.

Best hotel to visit Sigiriya!
A really nice family-run hotel. We stayed in the upstairs rooms of the family house and ate all our meals in the Green Hut restaurant which is also run by the family next door. We walked about a kilometer to Sigiriya rock and had a nice 3 km walk down country lanes to Pidurangala Rock for another nice hike and views. We also went on a jeep safari to Minneriya National Park. We did not realize that the hotel owner also operates a jeep safari - be sure to ask about it - great time. Overall a fantastic location, excellent hotel that gives you a real taste of country life in Sri Lanka. In the photo, taken from Sigiriya rock, the hotel is the green roof between the big white Buddha and the large grey rock.

Close to entrance to rock but few restaurants close by. Staff are great, good English and good at organising things. Room was clean, no TV, small balcony, decent bathroom, only got a small thin blanket. Good for the price though.
