Very comfortable bed, lovely room, smashing view. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Dinner and breakfast were made of quality ingredients and well cooked. Shame we couldnā€™t stay longer.

Cosy, great location and brilliant staff
Cosy country pub with attentive and welcoming staff in a stunning location. Wide range of drinks in the bar, decent selection of evening meals and your typical breakfast menu. Rooms are clean, very comfortable and well equipped. Its a quiet village so even though its on the main road there was no noise disturbance. Rooms are a little tired and there were no obvious recycling. You have to ask for an itemised bill if you want one at check out. Its the staff that make this place, and the location next to a river and fields with an old building that could tell a tale or two all help ! Id highly recommend it, especially if youā€™re not a fan of those standardised chain hotels where you could be anywhere in the world. This place is the complete opposite

Our Manor House room was impeccable. Lovely design with whimsical touches. Wish we could have lingered longer! Tasty dinners in the pub. Pastoral surroundingsā€¦. Hope we can make it back!

Couple of days in Yorkshire
Nice hotel in the Yorkshire Dales. It was very busy but clearly well run. Room was comfortable and the food was very good. We had fresh plaice and it was perfectly cooked. Hearty English breakfast as well. Great place to stay in a nice location.

The Red Lion is a great location, the staff were great from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We ate on both evenings at the Red Lion, the first night was good but the food on the second night was below par. I would recommend the Red Lion to friends and family.
