Intimate hotel for a couples break. Fabulous interior and excellent outside area. Staff friendly and could not do enough for us. Restaurant is amazing. Room was brilliant - the hairdryers are Dyson for goodness sake - no expense spared!

Staff (with the exception of whoever is in charge of the kitchen) and allocated room both excellent, let down by the worst full English breakfast I’ve had in a very long time. Cold baked beans, hard poached eggs, undercooked and fatty bacon, greasy mushroom, hard edged black pudding, pale looking sausage. How wrong can get a breakfast?

A thoroughly enjoyable experience
A beautiful period coaching inn with wonderful views. The staff were amazing, friendly & dedicated to ensuring our stay was pleasurable. For the elderly it is worth mentioning that there is no lift, which makes access to the upper floors somewhat challenging. We found the diner menu somewhat limited & unvarying, but this did not detract from our overall experience sufficiently to completely mar our stay. This is the only reason we cannot give te hotel an overall 5 star rating.

Interesting hotel
Everything was great apart from the room overlooked a road and it was quite noisy at 6am. Also our evening meal was a bit cold but the staff sorted it out and the food was delicious.

3rd time staying at the Talbot Lovely hotel big bedroom +extremely comfy bed Large relaxing lounge area Only down side to this visit was the very slow food service in both the bar and the restaurant We waited over an hour in the restaurant on our 2nd night

Really enjoyed this stay, we came with friends to celebrate her 60th birthday treat from us, only one thing the service could of been much better at our evening meal, but the food was beautiful so we didn’t complain
