Country Villa Kalimera is a newly restored traditional stone-built farmhouse with a cliff pool, jaw-dropping terrace views, tree-covered dining areas & a big garden. With breathtaking landscape and wide-open spaces, we are a place to explore safely.

The cottage is secluded & quiet, yet only an 8-min drive from Skopelos town & a 10-min drive from the closest beach. Country Villa Kalimera is ideal for people looking for a private and peaceful getaway in an authentic setting.

MAIN DESCRIPTION

The interior and surrounding property are perfect for families with children, couples looking for a romantic escape, or a group of friends getting together for a reunion.
The house is surrounded by a vast fenced garden that displays a 100-years-old BBQ, hammocks, sunbeds, and many chairs and tables to sit either in the sun or under the shade of an olive, fig, almond, pomegranate, or lemon tree.

The rural area around is scenic and ideal for long walks and mountain biking. Your own/rented vehicle is essential to move around the island. The closest beach is 10 min drive and the most iconic beaches are 15-20 min drive away. Close by, there are several ancestral mountain trails that lead to Skopelos town within a short walking distance downhill.

INDOOR

Upon entering the front door at Country Villa Kalimera, you immediately feel the country quality of the house. The stone-built fireplace dominates the living room, as does the lofty wood-beamed roof that houses a spacious loft area on one side.
The loft is reached by a steep spiral staircase and can sleep two persons on the double bed, although the best feature of the loft is the door leading to a roomy terrace/sunning area.

The views are lovely, facing east to the sea and the island of Alonissos and south toward the Stafilos Valley. This spot boasts the most stunning sunrises from which the house derives its name, Kalimera, meaning 'good morning' in Greek.

The loft and double bed area communicate visually with the living room underneath.

The living room is furnished with traditional built-in sofas (which can be used as two single beds) and a coffee table in front of the fireplace. It is open plan to the country-style kitchen, which has terracotta tiled flooring and pretty blue accents. A spacious wooden dining table sits in the middle of the room. On one side of the kitchen, there is a door to the master bedroom and on the other a door to the bathroom.

The spacious master bedroom is furnished with an antique wardrobe, double bed, and an en-suite w/c shower room.

The house offers all modern amenities respecting its traditional style.

Beautiful villa on stunning island
As beautiful as in the pictures. We are a family of 5 with 2 teenagers and a 21-year old but still had plenty of room. Very hot but always somewhere to sit in the shade with fantastic views. Insects not a problem. Friendly black and white cat joined us for the last few days (sad to leave her!). Pool was great - large enough to swim in. Bottle of water & wine in fridge on arrival was a nice touch. Cannot fault the villa but should point out that the drive up from Skopelos is very steep with hairpin bends & requires a confident driver (not for the faint- hearted!). Loved this villa - a memorable holida.

Goat bells and olive trees
This is a beautiful home in countryside and we were greeted with such genuine hospitality. We loved the view, the peace and quiet, and the traditional character of the property. The road from town is very steep but after doing it a couple times we felt comfortable with the drive. Relaxing by the pool after a day of exploring Skopelos, napping in the hammock, and star gazing and sunrise watching from the amazing roof top terrace were all memorable! We would love to return!

Happy holiday!
We had a lovely stay in Kalimera .. the house was lovely and full of character and the garden and views were beautiful. There was a lot of nature and would suit people who are not worried by this. It was a very peaceful place and it was particularly nice to sit on the roof terrace in the evening watching the stars come out. The drive down to skopelos town is steep but ok ... although we didn’t often go out because after a day on the beach we just wanted to relax at home and enjoy the environment. We enjoyed having a barbecue and in the end we never did make it into town for dinner because we preferred to be at Kalimera. It was a special place to wake up in and go outside to sit in the shade of the fig tree watching swallows dipping into the pool.

A beautiful and peaceful place to stay
Alessandro has been absolutely great, throughout the whole process, and made the whole trip very smooth. The villa itself is stunning, as you can see from the photos, and I can only echo what others have said about it. The pool is well maintained and a good size, the roof terrace was lovely, amazing views - and there is a sense of space and tranquility throughout the villa and garden. A lovely authentic Greek villa. There were occasional wasps outside, as we expected - specially if you eat outside - but we got used to them and worked around them, and no one got stung. We were grateful for the ceiling fans plus additional fan as it was mid August and hot at night! Easy access to Skopelos town, and also lots of lovely beaches, but our two teenagers probably would have been happy staying in the villa as it had everything they needed. It's worth exploring the island more widely, and we found some amazing spots including monasteries and ancient burial sites - if you do this just make sure your rental car is up to the steep hills! All thanks to Alessandro, and we would highly recommend this gorgeous villa.

Maison pleine de charme
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille avec deux « grands enfants » majeurs a Skopelos. L’un a dormi dans la chambre en mezzanine, l’autre sur l’un des canapés du salon qui fait un très bon lit. La maison est pleine de charme et reste fraiche en journée. Le jardin, avec ses espaces ombragés et ses nombreuses essences qui embaument (figuier, Oliviers, sauge, basilic, etc) est un véritable atout. La localisation, a 10 minutes de Skopelos est tres pratique pour faire des courses ou aller dîner et permet d’accéder en 20 minutes maximum a de tres nombreuses plages et villages. La cuisine est bien équipée en ustensiles de cuisines et verres. Quelques assiettes a dessert supplémentaires seraient bienvenues.

De locatie is buiten heel sfeervol met verschillende zitjes. Uitzicht is mooi met heerlijk zeembad.
De woning is qua inrichting gedateerd en niet helemaal proper. De tweede slaapkamer bevindt zich op een vide waardoor de privacy daar wat minder is.

Super Ausblick, Alleinlage und toller Pool
Sehr schönes älteres Haus mit tollem Ausblick auf Skopelos Stadt und den Hafen und das Meer. Highlight ist der Pool und die Dachterrasse. Sehr netter Vermieter, der sich um alles gekümmert hat und uns sogar, weil wir ungeplant einen Tag früher abreisen mussten, kulanterweise eine Nacht erstattet hat. Danke Alessandro, es hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Beautiful traditional house
Villa Kalimera is a really authentic house, as charming as the island. I would highlight its great outdoor areas (porch, pool, terrace). The beauty of the view and the garden is much greater than the photos. Gabriella's and Alessandro's family were very kind and hospitable. Communication was great. I would highly recommend this place. We are looking forward to stay in again.

La casa è ubicata a 5Km dal paese su una strada con pendenze da "fuoristrada". Non si tratta di una villa, come indicato sulla presentazione, ma di un casolare di campagna molto piccolo, pieno di oggetti di famiglia e sprovvisto di adeguati spazi per ospiti e bagagli. La seconda camera non è indipendente, bensì collocata su un soppalco sopra la cucina, con un semplice materasso a terra. I bagni sono microscopici, con lavabo piccolo come un lavamani, e doccia inadeguata. Positivi gli spazi esterni con barbecue e piscina. L'accoglienza è stata delegata solo ad un custode greco (che non parla inglese), senza indicazioni di tipo turistico sulla località.

Farniente sous le figuier...
Accrochée à flanc de colline au dessus du port de Skopelos, cette maison est l'endroit parfait pour décompresser et profiter des charmes de la superbe île de Skopelos. Aux heures les plus chaudes de la journée ses nombreuses terrasses ombragées et sa piscine donnant sur des panoramas superbes sont des plus appréciables. Bref un très bel endroit avec un accueil très pro d'Alessandro et de Christos.

Super séjour dans une grande propriété. Deco très cosy, propreté, bouteille et petit bouquet de serpolet d accueil Au calme sur les hauteurs de Skopelos Alessandro avait prévu notre accueil sur le port avec notre voiture ( belle surprise) et s'est assuré régulièrement que tout allait bien. C'est avec plaisir que nous reviendrons.
