Cuckoo the cabin

About this space
A tiny cabin surrounded by forest, located approximately 44 km away from the border of Riga city.
Cuckoo the cabin sits next to a pond, where you can have a swim right away, but if you want to enjoy the seaside - it’s 2 km from the cabin - have a 25 minute walk (recommended) or take the car if feeling lazy.
This is your perfect spot for a peaceful getaway!

The space
The main room of the cabin consists of a small living area and kitchen. There is a comfortable sofa that you can turn into a sofa bed if necessary (fits 2 people). A coffee table for your tea/coffee/snack time or family board game time - use it as you wish!
Bathroom lies behind the DIY sliding door - you can find shower, toilet and a cute little sink in there. For the convenience of our guests who choose to stay longer than a few days, there is a washing machine hidden in the bathroom closet.
To reach the bedroom which is in the loft, you have to climb the ladder (no worries, it’s not as difficult as it may seem at first), but if you are afraid of heights or have a small child with you, we recommend using the sofa bed instead. Once you reach the loft - a ready to doze off queen size mattress awaits!
The main room of the cabin is equipped with an air conditioner so you can set the temperature you prefer - which also makes it possible to live and use the cabin all year round and experience different seasons.
Cuckoo the cabin can accommodate up to 4 people, but it’s the most comfortable with two people in it.
The cabin has a spacious patio with a dining area so you’re welcome to enjoy your warm weather meals there.

Guest access
You are welcome to prepare all the meals in our kitchen. The kitchen doesn’t have an oven, but feel free to use the BBQ grill outside, when the weather’s nice. We provide oil for frying, salt, pepper, sugar, coffee and tea. The kitchen has a dishwasher.
The backyard has a fire pit (firewood provided), feel free to use it, just don’t move it around.
There is an outdoor hot tub available, if You want to use it, just let us know beforehand - it costs 60 € extra!
We provide towels and bed linen, free parking and Wi-Fi (but don’t be too mad if the speed is not super fast, you’re in the middle of a forest, relax :))

Other things to note
If you have small children, please, note that there is a porch with no railings and a pond next to the cabin. Please, don’t leave your kids without supervision especially near the water (use the swimming vests provided for our smallest guests) and be mindful yourself when close to open waters.
We are dog friendly, so bring your dog along for the stay and don’t forget to clean up after your four-legged friend.
The cabin is surrounded by a forest, so there is a possibility to meet or see some forest animals, please, don’t bother them or scare them on purpose.
The cabin is equipped with a self check-in lockbox and we will send you the code for the lockbox on the day of your arrival.
