Chamonix is a 5BR/3BA chalet at the top of Snowshoe Mountain. Situated on 2 acres with stunning views, Chamonix is a short walk to Cup Run. An on-call van will whisk you to/from the slopes or Snowshoe Village. Access is easy with parking by the front door and NO steep driveway. Enjoy mountain-biking, kayaking, horseback riding, snowmobiling, and of course skiing and snowboarding w/ apres ski in the hot tub!
Chamonix (pronounced SHAM-oh-NEE) is the perfect destination for a relaxing and fun-filled get-away. Things you'll love about Chamonix:
- Lounging in the hot tub over-looking the mountain vistas while the snow falls around you.
- Cell Coverage & Wifi. Unlike many homes on Westridge Road, you'll get 4G service at the house for AT&T mobile users. 100MB fiber-optic high-speed internet is both fast and reliable. TV Service is provided by Dish Network and has 120 channels. We also have ROKU devices on each TV for Netflix and Amazon viewing (use your own account).
- FREE On-Call Van. The on-call van service is GREAT! Just call them and they'll arrive in about 5-10 minutes at the end of the driveway and take you to various slopes or Snowshoe Village. Call them from your cell or ask any merchant to call the van for you to be taken back to Chamonix. No need to drive anywhere! The Van runs from 8am-midnight weekdays and 8am to 2am on Friday and Saturday nights.
- Easy Access. Most homes at Snowshoe have steep driveways that can be a challenge even for four-wheel-drive vehicles. At Chamonix, you drive up a gently-sloping road that is maintained by the county right up to the front door. Front-wheel drive vehicles are usually ok, but if we get a big snow, getting anywhere on the mountain will be a challenge without all-wheel drive.
- Handicapped Accessible. Mobility-challenged persons will enjoy being able to enter the home from the parking area with NO STAIRS to scale. They can stay in a first-floor bedroom and enjoy the first-floor living area, dining area, bathroom, and deck without having to navigate any stairs. Please note, there are no cooking facilities on the first floor and the 1st-floor bathroom is not handicapped equipped.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This property is NOT in Dunmore. This property on Snowshoe mountain in WV 26209.

You'll have use of the entire house which includes five bedrooms, three full baths, two living areas, two decks, a hot tub, and 2 acres of woodland.
Chamonix is a short walk (500 yards) to the Cup Run ski slope. Cup Run is a black diamond, so if you are a beginner, you'll want to use the on-call van to take you to a blue or green slope.
Chamonix uses professional cleaning and maintenance services to ensure your stay is exceptional. All linens and towels are professionally sanitized after each guest departure. The hot tub is cleaned and serviced by a professional, trained technician after every stay. A local care-taker is available to address any maintenance issues that arise during your stay.

On-Call Van. Unlike the scheduled shuttles that service other areas of Snowshow, Chamonix is serviced by an on-call van that picks you up at the end of the driveway. The van usually arrives within 5 minutes of your call, and will take you to Snowshoe Village or Silver Creek or anywhere in between. Just call the van from the slopes or a restaurant, and they'll whisk you safely back home to Chamonix. Details: The van operates from 8:00am to midnight 7 days per week. From Christmas week through the end of February, van hours are extended through 2:00am on Friday and Saturday night. Any business on the mountain will call the van for you to get you home if you don't have a cell phone.

- Dogs welcome but you must send pics for approval and there is a $50 pet cleaning fee.
- A Vacation Rental Agreement will be sent to you promptly after booking. When you book, you agree to be responsible for any and all damage done to the property by you or your guests for the total cost of repairs and loss of use.
COVID CANCELLATION POLICY DURING SKI SEASON:
- If Snowshoe resort closes during your reservation due to a pandemic, you may elect one of the following: 1. Keep your reservation and receive a 50% refund. There is much to enjoy at Chamonix even if the resort is closed. 2. Reschedule your reservation to between April 1 and Nov 15 and receive a 50% refund. 3. Cancel your reservation and file a claim with your travel insurance policy.
