Firstly I must say my rating is because the negatives out way the positives.
We did meet with a few amazing staff here and I can’t commend Clair on reception and the lovely lady who brought us room service , you are a true asset to the hotel.
Sadly the other encounters we’d not good. Having an ankle injury I asked where the lifts were to avoid the stairs to our room, I was told by the member of staff on reception at night check in the hotel did not have lifts, I reiterated my pain and struggle with my ankle and he said the stairs were the only option,- and n check out with a manger sadly I found not only was there a lift, I should have been offered a change of room, Where my access could have been far easily reached. Secondly on arrival to breakfast it was assumed there were 4 of us, I only booked for three, this did not sit well with me and I knew there would be something come of it, on checkout I was given a bill for just under £200 , so once I questioned this as everything was paid on arrival , it turned out I was charged for another room, this was quickly sorted out. On one of the beds we had black bugs, just a few but a few to many for me this was only noticed on the morning of check out , & one of my party had been itchy after the first nights sleep from the same bed in the family room. Small things also, not enough towels, phone didn’t work to use room service and on reporting from my mobile it was deemed a “dodgy phone” with no offer of assistance…………………
