TLDR: lower rating is due to the check in process, our specific situation condition of the building outside of the suite, the room itself was nice, the property was in a walkable area but also not very loud. It is fine for a short stay if you are super communicative, aware ahead of time and don’t mind being very patient. I hope the staff take a more proactive process in communicating with the guests and that the building mgmt works on the common areas.
This property does not come up in Maps so it is easy to get confused and go to their other location—luckily it is not too far away. Though we should have reached out earlier for check in, we did not have great service at our prior location and the Expedia app was not loading well. The staff took a while to answer us, then arrived much later from when they proposed they would meet—things happen, but they did not alert us as their ETA increased nor when they arrived, and we had to keep following up, when they were already there and then said it was traffic that took them over an hour instead of 10 min. I don’t wish to be unkind but it was frustrating to have been sitting there thinking we were going to meet soon when we could have grabbed food or sat down at the cafe in front sooner.
Again the room was very cute, clean enough, the wifi didn’t work well but whatever. The building itself is very dismal and feels sketchy, but there is a lock system on the suite outside of your room door.
