Do you yearn for relaxation and peace on your vacation?

Then start your day in the gazebo with a cup of smooth local coffee or a cappuccino, watching the sailboats glide along the sea (under a double rainbow if you’re lucky). After a breakfast of local fruit and homemade pancakes, slide into the pool and float, warmed by the Caribbean sun, surrounded by cashew trees and brilliant bougainvillea, with the postcard-perfect panorama of the Pitons and the Caribbean stretching across the horizon.

Have Doxie's pumpkin soup for a delicious light lunch, then pack up our snorkel gear and head to Anse Chastanet beach (less than 10 minute drive away) for an afternoon snorkel. Return to the villa to watch the sun set over the Caribbean in streaks of brilliant pink and orange while you sip local spiced rum with ginger ale, then dine on Doxie’s meal of grilled freshly-caught fish marinated in local seasonings with a salad, rice, and chocolate cake (from local cocoa, of course).

As the sky deepens to deep purple velvet and the stars emerge, take our Bluetooth speakers outside and listen to your favorite music while you talk with your companions, or just sit in awe of the beauty. Look up to see the inky black sky with billions of stars and the Milky Way flowing across it (when is the last time you saw the Milky Way?) Watch for shooting stars. Then sink into our comfortable Simmons BeautyRest mattresses and sleep deeply in the quiet, with just the breeze rustling the leaves and the singing of the tree frogs as a lullaby.

Or perhaps your ideal vacation is adventure and thrills?

Get up as the first fingers of dawn creep down from the mountains, grab some snacks and fill up our thermoses with water - you're headed to climb a mountain! Get a guide at the Anse L'ivrogne beach for the 2600-foot hike/climb or make it a little easier by starting higher up from Fond Gens Libre. Prefer SCUBA diving? Go out with Action Adventure Divers (“Chester”). ATV’s more your speed? Head to Choiseul for an ATV ride through the rainforest and chase each other along black sand beaches.

Whether you want to just relax or be very active, or a mix of the two, our friendly staff will help you have a memorable vacation. They’ll keep the villa clean, help you plan your activities, and anything else you need to make your vacation truly unforgettable. Hotels offer meal plans and tours and driver services, and we do, too - just inquire for details and pricing.

We’ve stocked the villa with adventure gear for you (beach chairs and towels and umbrellas and blankets, coolers, snorkel gear, etc.) and have WiFi throughout the villa with Alexa and Amazon Music Unlimited to make your stay even more convenient!

FAQ:

Staff:
Just like at a hotel, the staff must be in, on, or near the property most of the time. If you hire Doxie to cook for you, she has to do that in the villa. You may not tell the staff to leave the property or prohibit them from entering the villa for extended periods of time that interfere with their maintenance duties. You may ask them to give you as much privacy as they can while still completing their chores. Housekeeping and pool maintenance are performed daily.

Cooking/meals: Cooking services are extra and are from $12US to $25US to cook a standard meal for up to six people. Doxie also offers an option where she does the cooking and provides the groceries. Ask for pricing and details.

Privacy: Doxie is the only staff person that will be in the villa for more than a few minutes. If you prefer privacy, simply ask her to step outside when she is done or request that she does her indoor chores after you have left the villa.

Privacy and cooking services: You'll have to give up some privacy for cooking services, as meals are prepared in the villa kitchen and it's an open floor plan. Doxie usually comes up in the morning but cooks dinner in the afternoon, and she does not have a vehicle so she can’t go home and return when it’s time to cook. At your request, she will wait outside after completing her morning chores until it is time to cook. If you prefer as much privacy as possible but still want dinners made, we suggest you have her cook dinners on days when you are not in the villa.

Driver: We’re happy to provide you information on the driver’s pricing – please ask. If you wish to hire him, just let us know – you do not need to contact him yourself.

Insects and other creatures: We have mosquito-control traps and treat regularly for other insects. It is a tropical location, and the house is open-air (no glass over the windows) so there will be a few insects and other creatures (geckos, anoles, birds and occasionally a bat or mouse). Minimize flying insects by turning off all the lights inside the house at night if you are outdoors or closing all the doors at night if you are inside.

Air-conditioning: Given the open nature of the house, including interior walls that do not go to the ceiling, the air conditioning in the bedrooms will not be able to cool the rooms. They blow cool air on the beds to make sleeping a little more comfortable.

Welcome pack: We include a complimentary welcome pack of food and beverages, enough for a happy hour and a light dinner. We supply local Green-Gold coffee and a selection of teas for your stay. We can pre-stock the villa with other groceries upon request - inquire for price and availability.

Children: The villa and grounds pose inherent dangers for young children, including 220V outlets up 18 inches from the floor, chemicals stored in places children can access, and a 30-foot drop from the back railing to the forest below. Our staff’s duties do not include watching children, although they can arrange a babysitter for you at an extra charge.

Planned a Christmas, graduation, get away trip for the family. We want someplace safe, memorable and beautiful. Well all three metrics were met easily. The entire process from booking till drop off for the return trip was first class. Hated to leave!!!! Doxie, Junior, Billy, Kerryus were just unbelievable and a true pleasure having their flawless work make our stay memorable . We miss the delicious meals waiting for us in the evening. Can't say enough about the great experience we had. Thank you so much Loretta for your responsiveness and sharing your property with us for a week. Can't wait for the next time we can visit. Maybe even have the chance to have our Navy son join us so that he to could share the unpatched please of the Villa Grand Pitton. Well done!!!

Beautiful holiday in St Lucia
Villa Grand Piton is spectacular, the view is breathtaking, it is quiet and peaceful. The Villa is incredibly well equipped, Loretta has thought of every detail, and that makes a holiday so enjoyable. Doxie was so helpful, and we enjoyed several of her dinners, she remained quietly in the background and kept the house clean and tidy. Doxie is amazing!

A beautifil villa with the most spectacular views! The villa came with a driving service and a cook if you chose to use them. We did! The road up to the villa was a bit brutal, but worth it! It was so private and restful there. The villa was well appointed with everything we needed. Very spacious and comfortable. Had a fantastic TV room with cable so we could watch the playoffs! So enjoyed our accommodations!

So relaxing our vacation slowed down!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa! The view is amazing. Waking up every morning and opening the 4 large double doors to that view was a great way to start our day. All of the staff were very helpful and nice to have around. They were very accommodating and would show up when we asked them to. A couple of days we wanted a later start and that was not a problem. The Villa has everything you can imagine you may need and more. It was so great not to worry about anything. Beach bags, Sun hats, pool and beach towels, snorkel gear, cooler, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, outdoor portable speaker you can take to the beach with a bottle opener built in to open your Piton Lager Beer, and much more. More on the staff. We had Doxie cook us 3 meals during our stay. It was great to come back to the Villa and have dinner cooked and ready to go when we were ready to heat it up. We all agreed that Doxie’s food was the best food we had all week. There was not one thing we did not love. Some of the favorites were her pumpkin soup and fish fingers. We had her other “squash “ soup and it was amazing as well. One night she grilled bone in chicken with bbq sauce and that was delicious and a nice change from all the Caribbean flavors. We decided once we got there not to rent a car and use Juniors service to get around. He was very helpful with helping us plan our days. We felt so relaxed and taken care of that our vacation seemed longer. Highly recommend!

Breathtaking!!!!!
From the moment we arrived the service was 5 star all the way! Junior greeted us at the airport and made sure we were all ready, the owners actually greeted us when we arrived along with Doxie who by the way was so fantastic! The home is stunning and the views every morning, afternoon and evening are like nothing you can put into words. The beds were so comfortable, accommodations they thought of everything! They have towels for the beach, the sulphur springs, chairs for the beach... you name it they have it. Having Doxie to shop for us when we ran out of things and cook for us when we needed it was next level. We hired Junior and his team to drive us everywhere we needed to go and I highly recommend you do that as it is so much easier to have the drivers. Junior also was a concierge getting us a captain and a boat for a day trip to the north end of the island for shopping and lunch. This was out of 13 Caribbean islands we have visited the best trip so far. We brought my 75 year old mother as well and they took such great care of her and it was a trip of a lifetime for us all. I can't say enough great things about the home and the entire staff. I highly recommend utilizing Doxie and Junior! Thank you Grand Villa for the best trip so far of my life. We will definitely be back!!

Breathtaking views from a beautiful home.
Loretta and Bill have thought of most everything. This large three bedroom, three bathroom house has everything you could need from basic toiletries to chargers to travel mugs to a good movie for a night in. Each of the bedrooms has a bed fan, slats on the windows and doors that can be adjusted to allow ventilation, a fan and an wall AC unit. All of the reviews about the noise traveling through the house are accurate. The wall of doors open up to a stunning view of the water and the Pitons. Once outside all stress melts away. Be prepared to share the patio and house with a few friendly birds. They don’t hesitate to fly into the house and hang around the kitchen when the doors are open. Listen to the advice locals give. It is accurate. Close the house doors before dark to keep unwanted pests out. Do not rent a car. Gros Piton is a moderate to strenuous hike. Doxie is lovely and her meals really are as good or better than the local restaurants and she is happy to cater to your needs. Junior (the taxi driver) was extremely reliable. Overall, the property is beautiful and the house was a perfect retreat for us for the week.

Just finished our stay at Villa Grand Piton and first visit to St. Lucia. In a word, marvelous! Since we had never been to SL, we took a bit of a chance on location of the island and residence or resort. We could not have been more pleased. The Villa is definitely 5 star. The staff and arranged team (driver, tour operator and cook) are superb. The owners have thought of every possible need and stocked well. Other than a rough road ride from Soufriere to Villa, I can’t think of an improvement needed. One of the few times we actually may rebook same spot in the future. Highly recommended.

All about the view!
The view on this property is the best on the island. It was an absolute delight to experience it on a daily basis. My boyfriend and I loved watching the boats and ships cruise around. It was also a joy to watch the weather roll in and out over the Pitons. Truly, we were wonderfully grateful to have booked this listing for the beautiful view. We realize the value in the property for the price. It was just the two of us but for a family, the price would be hard to beat. There were some details of the property that would inspire use to book elsewhere. We found the cleanliness of the house and overall upkeep in need of extra love and attention. Both my boyfriend and I own rental properties and have managed vacation rentals before, we understand general wear-and-tear but some details should be corrected and upheld for the standard of a rental. The staff were lovely, we appreciated the convenience of having built in help and care available. There were times we felt like we were sharing the home that infringed on our ideal of privacy. Having the luxury of a housekeeper on-site daily was great but then we would end up sweeping up or tidying up ourselves anyhow. Food in the island was subpar. We found Doxie's cooking to be outstanding by comparison and enjoyed many meals made by her enjoying the view. The only restaurant we really loved was Rabot at the Hotel Chocolat. A bit pricey, but right up out alley. The architecture of the house we found to be a bit odd with the walls only partially up to the ceiling. This allows noise in the house to travel easily. For my boyfriend and I it was alright, but we imagined having other friends or family there and what that might be like. If you are the first one or last one awake, you'd need to tip-toe around to avoid disturbing others. Perhaps this isn't an issue for most guests but something to consider when booking. The road leading up to the house was quite the experience. We got used to it throughout our stay. Going to the beach is $45 roundtrip using Junior's transportation, which shocked us at first but we understand why and would have spent what we did or more on a rental car. The beach down the hill (Anse Chastenet/Anse Mamin) were great, peaceful and quiet. The snorkeling there is fantastic! Overall we had a lovely time at the house and a great vacation.

Beautiful family getaway
We were looking for a quiet and remote destination to relax and reconnect as a family. This location was the perfect place to do this. Beautiful views, amazing food (you MUST have Doxie cook for you...her meals rivalled the restaurants we visited), and a well appointed place with all the necessities required for an enjoyable vacation. Junior and Billy were great drivers. We strongly recommend them (the roads are not easy to drive up to this property). Day trips to the beach and excursions were stress-free as they knew where to go and were available whenver we needed them. As for restaurants, we usually like to do 3 types...one for a "unique" experience, one "foodie" restaurant, and a local one. We went to the Treetop restaurant (eating in a treehouse overlooking the palm trees. Food was good!), the Chocolat restaurant (the food experience was interesting...everything had chocolate in it), and Martha's Tables (the local one...the kids like the food here the best!). But nothing really beats Doxie's cooking! Overall, we had a wonderful time in St. Lucia, and have recommended this place to many of our friends.

Excellent property and location
Villa Grand Piton is a little slice of island heaven. The owner, Loretta, was one of the most organized and responsive VRBO hosts I’ve ever dealt with. She answered all my questions, had a seamless check-in process, helped arrange my stay and followed up to ensure everything was good. The place is exactly as described and is super well stocked. I didn’t believe it so still brought adapters, toiletries etc and didn’t need to use half the items I brought. Take heed in the description about it being open air - the fans help a tad during the day but you basically get whatever temp the weather gives. This is typical of almost any place in the Caribbean. But the villa has plenty of fans (even one in the bed!) that helped a lot at night. Also, pack plenty of bug spray. And I would suggest packing ziploc bags to store anything an ant might find bc they will find it if you don’t store it properly (they even got into my pill box). Just as other reviewers have mentioned, I would recommend taking advantage of their driver as the road to the villa is rough, steep and narrow. If you hire the driver for excursions, I would confirm the lead time they need to pick you up when you’re done… I didn’t realize this so was miffed at first when I was waiting 20-30 min but the driver will let you know if you just ask. Doxie, the villa cook, is definitely worth using for some meals so you can enjoy the ambience with some great food (and her rum punch is top notch) and the on-site staff/security is great about respecting your privacy. Overall, a great island experience and would highly recommend! (if you’re looking for an awesome excursion, Island ATVs was 1000% worth doing)

Words cannot express the beautiful views from this Villa. Everything about our stay was exceptional. Loretta and Bill were extremely helpful with planning the trip. Doxie was so sweet and cooked us meals that I’m still dreaming about.. Junior assisted with planning our excursions and booking them. He stopped by often to make sure everything was going smoothly. Billy was our driver. He safely took us everywhere we requested and was a short call away when needed. He’s also an excellent DJ. John and Kerryus were available as needed keeping the property grounds looking beautiful. It was a pleasure getting to know all of them. I would not hesitate to book this property. Everything about this trip exceeded our expectations. We already miss this island and it’s wonderful people.

Fantastic stay!
Villa Grand Peton was an exceptional trip for our family of 6. The villa itself is spectacular, one would be hard-pressed to find a better view on the island of St. Lucia. The pictures are misleading only in that you cannot capture the quality of the view with a simple picture! The villa is incredibly well-provisioned for a rental, it is clear that the owners use this as a personal residence as well. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need (even things like high end blenders) while other nice touches abound (bluetooth speakers, first rate pool floats, sunscreens, even spare sunglasses for your use, as an example). I also appreciate the small things like the fact spices for cooking are available for your use. Bedrooms are comfy with nice linens and so forth. The staff was also fantastic, the proper balance of being available but not intrusive; full of useful information. Kerryus even guided us up the Petit Peton, which was an epic experience (but not for the faint of heart-it's grueling). We highly recommend Villa Grand Peton and look forward to a return trip! Highly recommend, unbelievable villa with great staff and hosts!
Family of 5 stayed (girls aged 12, 9, 5) for 1 week over Thanksgiving. Highest marks for the hosts Bill and Loretta - they are amazing. This was our first visit to St Lucia, had looked at resorts but found this villa given the extra space and private pool and lucked into an amazing find. Bill and Loretta answered all of our questions before arrival, and during the stay were accessible but we were in great hands. We pre-arranged transportation through the hosts. We were picked up by Billy at the airport without issue. I would not rent a car after spending a week on the island - St Lucia best navigated by a local. The drive up to the villa alone is steep and on tight mountain roads - couldn't thank Billy enough for his driving skills. Doxie is awesome - we asked her to cook breakfast and dinners every day, and we ate out lunch every day. She arrived at the villa by ~8:30am to prepare our breakfast, and then we'd head out for our activity every day by 9:30. We came back to the villa to a home cooked meal which we'd just reheat in the oven or microwave whenever we were ready to eat. We asked Doxie to take care of us, and she definitely did! She was open to inputs on protein, sides, etc - the cuisine has Caribbean flair and it was all delicious. We tried things (and loved them) that we would probably never had tried on our own at a restaurant. The hosts work with a local driver Junior who also served as a tour guide. We met with Junior the day after we arrived, and planned out our week's activities. Given COVID protocols, the island is focused on fully vaccinated (understandably so) so we were a little limited on our locations but it didn't matter - we loved everything we did. Billy was our driver for the week, and he knows everyone on the island so he served as our tour guide. We did the mud bath, a waterfall, the botanical gardens, two days with a boat captain (highly recommend doing this with Mario), and a few beach days (or combo of pool and beach). The view from the villa is a screen saver. It's indescribable to swim in the pool or sit on the gazebo for meals and look out at the view. The villa is spacious. The kitchen has anything you need if you want to cook on your own. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The hosts have done so much to make everything easy and comfortable - lots of extras! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this villa. It was the vacation of a lifetime, but makes us want to go back tomorrow!

Great Honeymoon Experience!
My wife and I stayed at Villa Grand Piton in early November for our honeymoon and had an amazing time! Despite it being November, the weather was warm (like 85 degrees), and we enjoyed wearing t-shirts and shorts, while at night jeans/sweatpants. The Villa Grand Piton really takes care of everything. We strongly recommend booking their driver, Billy, as the roads in St Lucia are insane (i.e., dimly lit, little street signs, uneven/bumpy, and spotty cell service would have made using Maps to get around difficult). Billy was extremely helpful, an excellent tour guide, easy to talk to and went above any beyond. We sort of felt like local celebrities riding with Billy as he knows nearly everyone in Soufriere. We also strongly recommend their chef, Doxie, who makes delicious cuisine, and spending as much time at the Villa Grand Piton as possible (i.e., we felt spending a night out on the town for dinner/drinks wasn't worth it as the Grand Villa Piton is, in our opinion, the best view in St. Lucia). Additionally, for extra precaution, they have a security person there 24 hours (Kerryus during the day and John at night, they mostly keep to themselves, though would be happy to speak with you, we found them to be fun, polite and helpful). This house has everything, towels, snorkels, sun screen, beach chairs, beach bags, etc.). We brought our own sun screen, but ran out, and the Villa had plenty to spare. This is a 3 bedroom with 3 full bathroom house and an amazing pool. It is huge. And for it just being us two, it was more than enough, but the house felt like home. They even have an awesome TV room with tons of movies. I'm one of those people who when I travel, I like to do things/activities. But this place I didn't want to leave. On a few days we told the staff we wanted some privacy (it was our honeymoon ;) ) and they were very respectful and gave us privacy. Lastly, I should mention the mosquitoes. You are going to a tropical island, so they are here. However, the Villa has plenty of electrical mosquitoes/bug killing devices (the look like tennis rackets), and they work very well. Plus the staff takes additional measures, like spraying around the property. The bugs are not overbearing, and certainly not enough to stop my wife and I from coming back. We had such a great and memorable experience. Highly, highly recommend.

Villa Grand Piton is amazing
This villa is a true gem. The location is just breathtaking…that view of the Pitons is one of the best on the island. We spent a few hours every morning with our coffee just enjoying the beautiful breezes, views and wildlife from the sitting area on the patio….or while swimming in the pool! The villa is large and spacious and is super well equipped for anything you might need during your trip. And the staff…they are truly wonderful! Doxie cooked for us most evenings and prepared a beautiful fruit plate for us every morning. Kerryus, John, Billy and Junior were fantastic as well. VGP is a truly exceptional home base to enjoy St Lucia and we would absolutely go back in a heartbeat. Thank you so much, Loretta!

The Most Perfect Villa with The BEST view in St. Lucia
Villa Grand Piton exceeded our expectations in every way. The property is modern and updated with an open floor plan. The house is outfitted with every possible amenity (from q-tips to snorkel gear). The staff is wonderful and discrete. We cannot wait to come back again!

Best View on the Island
The Villa is really beautiful. The view was beyond anything I could have imagined. The home is large and spacious. The main problems were that the driver did not show up at the airport to pick us up, as planned. Another driver who knew our driver was able to work it out for us. After a period of waiting, we made it without trouble. The house is absolutely gorgeous. Delicious rum punch was waiting upon arrival. The view, as stated, is probably the best in the island. We loved Doxie's cooking. The only problem with the house was the noise. It has the open air ceiling design (which I am sure is to help with airflow), but it leads to being able to hear EVERYTHING- someone going to the bathroom, conversations, and more;). We were 2 couples and a single friend. It was definitely limiting for our group since there seemed to be no chance to be intimate with your spouse, but I can imagine a family with kids or another group dynamic this house would have been perfect- better than perfect. I would definitely stay here again with a different group makeup, but would not recommend for a group of "couples".

Breathtaking!
This house is absolutely incredible with the most breathtaking views we have ever seen. My husband and I stayed with our 3 young children. You don’t need to pack much when staying here. The owners have thought of everything and the house is well stocked and feels like home. Doxie took very good care of us and cooked excellent meals. The beds were super comfy and we loved the open air house. The whole week felt like a dream. It was the perfect spot to relax and unwind for a week and we are so grateful that you shared your home with us.
