Cozy Lakeside Living

Wake up to the sounds of nature and serene views from every bedroom. Or if you prefer, you'll also find Muskoka chairs at the dock, perfect for quietly sitting and sipping your coffee as you take in the morning views.

This lake is great for swimming, fishing/ice fishing, and other water sports, and we have provided a canoe, 2 kayaks, a paddle board and a large floating water pad for your enjoyment. And because Fourteen Island Lake has no public boat access and only a small amount of cottages lining its shores, the water is crystal clean and clear.

Our lake house offers 1300 sqft. of bright open living space. The kitchen has all basic amenities, as well as a 10ft island for ample workspace, and a farmhouse table that seats 10. Enjoy making and sharing your meals while overlooking the lake via the patio slider.

Two of the bedrooms offer a queen bed and the third offers two sets of bunks, all sturdy enough and comfortable for adults.

No need to fear rainy days as we have a variety of books, games, and puzzles, perfect for adults and kids alike. You'll also find a smart television with loads of DVD's and access to Netflix as well as other streaming apps, and a Wii gaming system to keep you entertained. Starlink Wifi is available to keep you connected.

Air conditioning is not available but a quick dip in the lake and fans in every bedroom will keep you cool and comfortable.

Nearby Activities:

*Walk, bike, snowmobile, ATV and cross country skiing: we are a 10 min drive from the K&P trail

*Hike backwoods trails, kayak, swim, canoe, and bird watch at South Frontenac Provincial Park, 5 minutes away.

*Golf: Riverdell Golf Course is an 18 hole course, and just a 5 minute drive away.

*Star Gaze: North Frontenac Dark Sky Preserve is just an hour drive north and has excellent star viewing. There is also excellent star gazing right outside the cottage doors and from the sky lights in the two main bedrooms.

*Stock up on necessities: You'll find grocery, beer, and hardware stores, as well as a gas station in Verona - just 5 min away. Or if you prefer the amenities a larger city has to offer, Kingston is just a 30 min drive south.

Beautiful cottage and peaceful lake
We found the cottage to be well equipped and very comfortable. The lake is very calm and peaceful. There are grasses/weeds in the water out to the end of the dock but the floating pad makes it easy to enjoy playing around in the water for those who might be a bit squeamish about the underwater plants. The stand up paddle board, kayaks, and floating pad were lots of fun to use and play with as the kids and adults all had a very good time at, on, and in the water. You will want to be sure to bring along your own bed linens, towels, and dish towels. Drinking water is via large water jugs to be replaced at the closest store in Verona. These were not mentioned in the listing (nor was the weeds in the water) which is why I gave the accuracy of the online listing 4 stars out of 5. We had four adults and three kids at the cottage and the beds were comfortable for everyone. The cottage is well appointed and we found the kitchen worked well for cooking and the long table worked well for meals and board games. Overall a very comfortable and well set up getaway spot.

Beautiful cottage on a pretty lake
The cottage is beautiful, modern and clean and straight out of a magazine. Checking in and dealing with the owner was a breeze and easy. Plenty of games, dvds and entertainment in the cottage and lots of water sport equipment (lily pad, canoe, paddle board etc.). Wood was well stocked for the fire pit as well as the propane for the bbq. Just a couple of comments on the location. There is a landscape company located at the end of the road where the property is located and you can hear dump trucks entering during week during business hours. The cottage is private with a fence and surrounding trees but there are neighbors close by. Other than that the place is great. All in all I would give it a 8.5/10.

Last minute booking for Labor Day weekend, found this gem of a property. Lakeside, remote, quiet, great for the dogs and us. Neighbors were generally fine.

Gorgeous cottage on a very peaceful lake
We really enjoyed our time in this lovely cottage! Lots of space and very comfortable for a group of 6 of us - 4 adults and two kids, aged 5 and 8. Between the campfire, badminton, games, canoe, paddleboard and swimming we easily filled our days. The lake is so serene and peaceful, and in the area we saw a ton of wildlife including loons, a blue heron, turtles, frogs (lots of them!), and 3 deer. Laura was also extremely responsive to any of our questions. We'd love to come back another year!

Lovely modern cottage with beautiful lake view
The cottage is beautiful and bright! It was our first trip away as a family of 5 and the cottage size was perfect. Our older kids loved the bunk beds and the dining table was nice and large for family games and colouring time. We also enjoyed canoe rides on the very calm lake and spotting fish, frogs, and even a turtle from the dock. Would highly recommend this cottage if you looking for a modern get-away with a beautiful lake view.

Fabulous Family Getaway
Our family had a wonderful stay at the lakehouse. Our host, Laura, provided us with good communication. The beautifully designed house was comfortable and modern with all that we needed. We enjoyed swimming in the lake, the canoe, the paddleboard, the lily pad, board games and the outdoor games. Our teens had a good break from their phones! It was a lovely spot for a relaxing and fun-filled vacation as a family.

This one is a winner!!! A stunning cottage with everything you need to relax and unwind and an absolutely incredible and quiet lake. There wasn’t a single day that we weren’t in the water at least three times. Absolutely fantastic place to relax, unwind and leave the hustle and bustle of every day behind. Looking forward to going back!!

Beautiful Property
Beautiful cottage, open concept that is easy to entertain especially if it’s rainy out. Lake is large and calm, easy to paddle board and kayak. Lake is very clean and clear, can see all the sunfish and turtles off the dock. Close to shopping and quick drive to Kingston if want to do any day trips.

Amazing family cottage!
Our family rented this cottage as a party of 8 and we had a wonderful time! Communication beforehand was exceptional - I had quite a few questions and they were all answered super promptly. Check in was a breeze and the cottage itself is gorgeous. The main floor is so nice and open which was perfect for us since we could all hang out while doing different activities (i.e. making meals, playing games at the large dining table, etc.). The beds were all comfortable and blankets & pillows are provided, but don't forget your own sheets, towels, and dishcloths. The lake is just a staircase away and super clear - we loved swimming, canoeing, and paddle boarding on the lake all weekend. The hosts also provide a great assortment of indoor & outdoor activities (i.e. puzzles, games, water equipment, etc.) so we were never bored. It was a perfect family cottage experience and I would highly recommend this property! TIP: your GPS may tell you that you have arrived once getting about half way down the laneway...keep going and when the lane splits, veer to the left and the cottage is just up ahead.
