This place is awesome. We were only there for one night but I wish we’d stayed for more. Our room was cozy, shower was amazing, pub and restaurant are the kind of place I never want to leave. Staff were friendly and courteous. Entire property is full of history and character. Location couldn’t be better just steps from restaurants and major Lincoln attractions.

Staying in March
We stayed for three nights and ate in the hotel each morning as well as twice in the evening. The breakfast has a good range of cooked food but if it is cereal you want contact them directly as choice is limited. Staff are very helpful and approachable. Would definitely advise them to ensure staff are retained as they are a great asset. The room was very clean and had a lot more storage than I am use to seeing in a hotel. There are a lot of places to eat in the immediate vicinity catering for all tastes. The hotel provides a list of recommended sites. Would advise that you pre-book as they all get busy. We went mid March so you can imagine what it will be like in the Summer. The ambience in the bar itself was very pleasant, (this from someone who doesn't go to pubs very often).

Lovely hotel with fabulous staff
Excellent stay. A charming hotel in an excellent position to see Cathedral, Castle, Steep Hill etc. with the added benefit of on site parking. You are encouraged to pre book breakfasts which ensure foid is freshly cooked and service is exemplary. We had 2 meals in the associated restaurant, delicious but note its really busy so you need to pre book a table But what made this a memorable stay was the staff, without exception so friendly, helpful, welcomibg and energetic! Highly recommend

Comfortable and great food.
Excellent value for money. Warm cosy pub, friendly staff. Comfortable bed, cosy room. Great evening meal and excellent freshly cooked breakfast. If I had one small gripe it would be my tv was too small, but honestly that’s me being fussy and used to a huge tv. I will 100% be back when next working in Lincoln.

Very welcoming and helpful staff at this hotel/pub. Great location. Comfortable bed. Crisp linen and v fluffy towels. Food and beer in the pub/restaurant were v v good. Probably the best poached eggs I’ve ever had (breakfast). Location is brilliant if you’re visiting as a tourist. And there is an EV charger in the car park - which was a huge boon for us (NB currently the two chargers are labelled the wrong way round. So far CCS choose CHADaMO - the charging company are working on fixing the app asap tho - and v quick response from the support). It’s changed quite a bit since I used to come here in my youth (when I think it was just a pub). Still has great beer…

Amazing Stay
