I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. The owner and manager refused to help me with a reservation issue even though they were on premise. Their reasoning was they were off duty. They did not return any of my calls either.

Very comfortable, cozy place. Kitchenette in the room was great to have. Lobby and breakfast area were clean, comfortable, cozy, decorated nicely for the season. Front desk staff were extremely courteous and friendly. Pet friendly, nice back yard area for pets. Would definitely stay here again.

Property Needs Updating
The staff was very friendly, the lobby decor for fall was cute, and breakfast was OK. I slept well and the bed was comfortable and good hot water. However, the place needs updating and some better cleaning. There were mildew stains on the ceiling of the bathroom over the shower, the carpet was stained, the lampshades were peeling on the inside, and the door was slightly out of plumb (you had to push to get it to shut properly). Probably would pass staying here again.

Oops.
Room was not ready for use. No toilet paper. No paper towels. No dishes or spoons. Dishwasher was broken. Ice maker was broken. No dish drain or dish soap. People were great about getting what i ask for though. Their idea of a hot breakfast was adding a waffle iron.

Good location.
We were there for the Mud Run at the Gun Club. The hotel is very quiet and modestly decorated. The room needed freshening up. It is dated , the bed needs replaced and the pillows had a dirty smell like hair oils. The little room didn't have air and was stuffy. We removed the nice bed cover and used our own, as we knew the dog wouldn't stay in the bed we brought for her. The fridge could use a good scrubbing. Tables, but no lamps, odd. Breakfast had no proteins, all prepackaged sugar-type donuts etc. All in all, thank you for the stay.

The staff both at check-in and out were great. The hotel needs some tlc. Our bathroom had no fan which seemed really odd. The sofa had fabric hanging down underneath. It was ok to sit on but that fabric made it look pretty dumpy. The walls are very thin. The folks next to us decided to start a party at 2am. We called the front desk so it did get better but still too noisy to sleep.

room smelt like tobacco and animals shower did not work and drawing management's attention was originally not effective - front desk said to put a hand towel under the spout and something about holding the towel in place with duct tape. A new front desk person (Tiffeny) got involved and was very helpful getting us a new room. the lobby, front desk area and guest lunch areas were good.

We checked in with Jessica. Over the top friendly, informative, seemed to truly enjoy her job. Interactions with her several times always smiling and accommodating. Room key didn't work. She made new keys and came upstairs to make sure they worked. Lady from housekeeping on our floor greeted me, asked if I needed anything. Asked her about a blow dryer. Instead of telling me to go to the front desk, she said she would get me one. Again with a big smile and positive attitude. Great experience. Place is showing it's age a bit but given the service we received we'll be staying at this hotel if they have rooms available.
