Cozy cabins on the edge of downtown.
Small cozy cabins on the edge of downtown Spearfish. The cabins are quiet and in a good location just couple minutes from downtown Spearfish and a couple block from a local park and stream.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautifully outfitted and *dog-friendly* cottage! Perfect basecamp for 1 human and 2 dogs hiking and adventuring in Spearfish Canyon and across the Black Hills. Well-equipped kitchen for meal prep in, and walking distance to numerous restaurants nearby. Being in close proximity to the recreation trail along the creek was great for morning walks before each day's adventure.

This was a great place to stay in Spearfish. Communication was excellent and keyless checkin was easy. The quaint cabin was very clean and a lovely place to stay. We loved the separate living room from the bedroom and mini kitchen. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.

The bathroom sink was so small it reminded me of a fishbowl. Not good. No terry cloth floor mat to absorb the water which inevitably falks so I imagine that is why the bathroom smells moldy from water hitting the floor. It us decorated nicely but cheap in that they have plant stands 1 sq ft for bedside tables. No shelves in the bathroom to put the dry towels - found them stackd on the bed so when you sleep you have to stick them on the couch with all the extra pillows you dont need. checkout is 10:00 AM which is early for us when traveling long distance and they want you to take all the garbage outside down the block or leave outside and text when you leave as no one is on site. The hot tub was very nice but you share it with all the cottages outside in back. I thought it was in the unit. By the time you do the dishes and clean the unit there is not much left for them to di. Not worth the money.

The cabins were very nicely decorated and very clean. Communication was excellent before we got there and after we got there. They made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again.

The Spearfish Cottages are a great place for a couple to get away for the weekend and explore the Hills. Everything is top notch check in was simple and check out was as well. Can't wait to get back out there and stay again!

We stayed at the Spearfish Cottages during the Sturgis Rally. The cottages were within walking distance to “Da Bus” stop, which was at the city campgrounds. “Da Bus” will take you into Sturgis and back during the rally. There were a few restaurants within walking distance from the cottages, an Irish restaurant and an Indian restaurant. Overall, we had a nice 4 night stay.

The duplex was clean and decorated simple but elegant. Mattresses were super comfortable, and we liked the hot tub area with the lights at night. Also neighborhood is quiet because its on a dead end street, a plus for us. The only improvements I would sugest is a place to sit outside on the balcony and a meat fork and tongs in kitchen. Will definitely keep this place in my list of places to stay!

The area was convenient to restaurants, the interstate and downtown Spearfish. We enjoyed the lovely stream nearby and found the area very pet friendly and walkable. The cottage was well furnished, comfortable and on point for the price. We would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a basecamp to explore the Black Hills.
