The front desk girl was niece. I asked about the breakfast and she said because the rate I have it not included it .. $186 the night plus $75 of security and the breakfast was not included...Also, she said the parking was free and I can park any place around the hotel...I was charge $25.56 for parking...The room was cozy but not for $260 the nigh...and the carpet had a big spot next to the 2nd bed...The bed was the only good after all.

Our family enjoyed how close the hotel was to sourrounding entertainment and restauraunts. The rooms were clean, modern, and overall pleasing. The only complaint would be the pool size; that being it is just a little smaller than what i had excpected. All in all, it was a nice stay.

I picked the Doubletree b/c I’ve had good past experiences at other Doubletrees & their cookies are AMAZING. I also picked this hotel b/c I liked that it was near the Historic District & within walking distance of several attractions. They also provided 2 free bottled waters to guests. Staff were friendly & hotel was overall clean. However, it was only after I booked that I received notification that the hotel would be undergoing renovation/construction during my stay. The parking lot was already tight to begin with b/c it’s originally small. I was able to park in the lot across the street, however, when carrying luggage on the first night that was very inconvenient. In addition the parking by the hotel or in the lot across was an unexpected $25/per night. Also, I was charged $300 for incidentals; yes, it was pending, but still I’ve stayed at many locations where incidentals are only charged after your stay & they’re the verified ones, not a pending charge initially that is modified depending on your actual charges once you leave. There was breakfast at the hotel at a decent price & this was convenient, but the coffee was not good & that resulted in me only eating breakfast once at the hotel during my stay. Also, I know the hotel was undergoing renovations, but the lobby & other areas (e.g., gym, pool) looked much better and brighter in the pictures than in real life, and the look was not consequent to the construction. I’m hoping the renovations will help. Overall, it was ok
