Reception staff amazing
Staff and especially reception were amazing. Breakfast one of the best we've had. Kippers amazing. My mistake, i booked the wrong standard room and really wanted the garden view which looked better than the wall we faced. Apart from this minor error of mine, couldnt fault the place. Already looking at booking to go back.

A lovely old lady in Douglas
The Sefton is a bit like an old dowager that has come down a bit in the world. It could use a renovation in a number of areas. That being said, the staff is excellent, as is the location. The breakfast is quite good. We were puzzled by the lack of washcloths and the explanation for the absence: guests had taken too many of them.

The hotel's position on the promenade was good and handy for the ferry. It has a small car park underneath the hotel which operates on a first come first served basis. We found it difficult to find restaurants outside of the hotels. The few we found were not open on a Monday or Tuesday.

The hotel desperately needs a refurb, we did however enjoy our stay. The breakfast was excellent, some of the staff friendly, others looked like they couldn’t be bothered.

Great location, staff and food. Updates needed.
Excellent location on Douglas Promenade - very convenient to shops.Great staff, very helpful - they helped us with parking when we arrived. Magnificent breakfast. Bar/restaurant superb -- really enjoyed the beef Wellington dinner. But rooms are antiquated: good lighting but no outlets next to bed, shower way too small with water spilling onto floor because curtain is not long enough. Hot water and cold water do not mix in the sink or in the tub. Gas sewer smell. A little renovation is in order.

Very noisy with the generators on. When other people in the same corridor closed their doors, the wall and our bed shook. Bed very hard and uncomfortable. I will not be staying here again.

The only thing I would have to complain about is that the toilet does not flush properly and the shower curtain is to high so it floods the bathroom. Other than that I would say it was excellent

Had a lovely stay at the Sefton. Its right on the promenade, easy for all the amenities that Douglas and the Isle of Man has to offer. Right by a bus stop where buses can take you around the Island or to and from the airport. Also near to the Steam train, Electric train and the horse driven tram. Perfect location

Start set the tone. Wonderful.
The Sefton I understand is undergoing updating atm and whilst tired in places the 2 nights b and b was great value for money for a short break. Bedroom suite, pool and breakfast were among the highlights. And a big special thank you to Leah the receptionist at the front desk for her warm welcome and cheery demeanour on checking in and during the stay.

Sefton Stay
The hotel is bring refurbished in certain areas, but bathrooms and rooms in general are in need of upgrading. But the major refurbishment is in the entertainment areas and outside painting. Breakfast very good. We have stayed here before and probably will do again, but the hotel needs to pay more attention to room upgrades.
