Things to Do in St. Kitts and Nevis

The first thing you should do is pay a visit to the Nevis Historical and Conservation Society and get yourself acquainted with the island’s past. Check out the Alexander Hamilton House, where the American statesman is believed to have been born and spent the early part his life. There’s also the Joan Robinson Biodiversity and Oral History Resource Centre, which is dedicated to preserving the plant and animal life of the two islands.

Remember, there’s two islands here, so when you’re done with Nevis, go to St. Kitts and wander Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park. It’s one of the best-preserved fortresses in the Americas, and provided the British occupiers protection from those swashbuckling, liquor-swigging, pillaging loons we like to call pirates.

Getting to & Around St. Kitts and Nevis

St. Kitts and Nevis holidays start when you land at Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport (SKB) on the island of St. Kitts. From there, it’s a short taxi ride to many of the hotels in St. Kitts and Nevis. Well, the hotels on Nevis are a short ferry ride as opposed to a taxi, but you can figure that out when you get there.
