Whether you’re visiting St. Charles for business, your favorite Lindenwood student, or one of St. Charles’ major festivals, this charming, 2-bedroom rental provides a centrally located homebase with everything you need. Main Street and the University are both less than 5 minutes away by car; the airport is 15 minutes.
If business brings you here, there’s ultra-fast fiber internet—also good for streaming if you’re leaving work behind!
LIVING SPACES
Don’t be fooled by the home’s cozy appearance—its floor plan is actually quite spacious! It includes two living spaces (one on each floor) with comfy sofas, flat-screen TVs, and warm hardwood floors. Between your St. Charles adventures, take some time for naps, movie nights, good books and conversations.
COOKING & DINING
The roomy kitchen features all major appliances (including a dishwasher and a gas stove) and well-stocked cabinets. A center island with barstool seating provides a great spot for morning coffees or pre-game hors d'oeuvres.
An adjacent dining table features bench and chair seating for 6 people.
SLEEPING SPACES & BATHROOMS
This home has two bedrooms, both upstairs, with a queen bed in one and a full bed in the other. Sloped ceilings and hardwood floors add to the cottage-like feel of the space. The full bath (downstairs) features a tub/shower combo and plenty of space for your toiletries on the shelves and bowl-sink vanity.
Have extra guests? The sofa in the main floor living area turns into a queen-size bed to comfortably sleep two more.
Central A/C cools the space, with additional window units in the upstairs bedrooms to keep the temps extra crisp for a sound night’s sleep.
Uber/Lyft is likely your best bet for transportation if you're not driving yourself. If you are, there is sufficient on-street parking in the front of the house.
I live in the area and, depending on my work schedule, I can be at the property to help as needed. Overall, though, my style is to leave you in peace and let you enjoy your trip!
St. Charles is a historic, riverfront town, and its downtown core and Main Street play the part beautifully, with tree-lined cobblestone streets, local shops, cozy cafes, and other treasures. Missouri’s iconic rail-trail, the Katy Trail, runs along the riverfront for cycling, jogging and walking. All of this is a quick 5-minute drive from the house; it’s also walkable if you enjoy a longer stroll. Lindenwood University is nearby, as well.
Many guests come to St. Charles for their yearly festivals on the riverfront, which span the seasons and include Oktoberfest, a 4th of July festival, the "Festival of the Little Hills" and a large "Christmas Traditions" festival.
Uber/Lyft are likely your best bet in terms of travel. There are a few restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance, but most locations are a very short Uber/Lyft ride away.
A washer and dryer are accessible through a cellar door that pulls up from the floor of the sunroom/utility room. This door is moderately heavy, though not unmanageable. Contact me before booking if you need access to the laundry but don’t feel comfortable lifting a somewhat heavy door out of the floor!
