Good but noisy
A good hotel, but it was too noisy at nights, for 2 nights in a row, my wife could not sleep, first some young people were loudly rehearsing a play in the hallway, then after 1 am a loud part started, with yelling and doors to the rooms wide open. I tried to hush the partying folks but they resume being loud. My wife pleaded with the hotel, and after a whole, we were moved to a room on another floor which was much quieter.

Recommend it to everyone!
Very cosy and clean room at a reasonable price, buffet service was included and it consisted of a vast quantities of dishes all of a kind. A standard room lacked a fridge, but everything else was OK.

Hotel Andersen - adequate but disappointing
We were slightly disappointed by our stay at Hotel Andersen, the staff were fairly pleasant, but the room was tired and in need of an update, the carpets were flithy and the shower was a bit of a nightmare. The breakfast was ok, but could be improved - on the first day they couldn't seem to cope with the large amount of people at breakfast, so it was difficult to get a table which was clean or food to eat. But the following morning was a distinct improvement, with less people in the hotel. Location is good, about 10-15min walk to Metro station, also close to supermarkets. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

for this huge prise there was no fridge in the room..even small one. it was hot in a city so you couldn't put a bottle of water. everything else is ok.

1st Time in Russia
I have nothing to compare it too as far as other russian hotels go but it was nice staff did speak limited english. We also up graded to the 3rd level of room that they have. They offer free breakfast everyday right in the resturant. There is a bank a block away to exchange money also a grocery store(sort of) right around the corner. Within walking distance is the subway which we rode on it was very safe and kind of fun. There is also McDonalds,Pizza Hut, & KFC right by the entrace to the subway.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed at the Andersen while traveling with my mom. Each time, the hotel has been clean and comfortable, and we've always felt safe there. The hotel has front desk, bar and restaurant staff who speak English very well. This is very helpful, since my Russian language skills are extremely limited. We've also found them to be accomodating of specific needs. This is not a 4 star hotel (nor does it claim to be), so it isn't overly luxurious. However, it is comfortable and a fair price. It is a bit far from the city center. Hoever, the metro is pretty easy to take, about 1 km away and just 1 stop from the city center.

Pleasant surroundings with helpful staff
Hotel was situated well for our needs. Friendly helpful staff. Rooms were clean and tidy and adequate for our needs. Mosquitoes were a problem in one room but other room had none. Breakfasst was good variety and set us up well for the day. Very little English spoken but managed to commuicate well and both us and hotel staff understood what both sides were needed so fine. Good experience.

Ihan siisti perushotelli.
Hotelli oli ihan siisti, pienellä kujalla lähellä vilkasta pääkatua. Auton sai parkkiin helposti oven eteen. Metroasemalle on jonkin verran matkaa, mutta jos osaa liikkua bussilla, ongelmaa ei liene ole. Aikaa nähnyt, parin vuoden päästä remontin tarpeessa (lähinnä huoneet) oleva erttäin rauhallinen perushotelli. Aamiainen ok, perusvenäläistä nakkia ja blinejä tarjolla.Ystävällinen henkilökunta.
