Overall great location. Only complain would be the $20 charge for parking. They also leave two water bottles in the rooms but charge $2 a bottle. They should just be complimentary.

Absolutely Terrible Experience
The stay was absolutely terrible. The heater didn’t work, thermostat was loosely hanging from the wall, the lock on the front door was so loose that if you pushed the door hard, it would come right off. The carpet was frayed and torn up, the gate on the balcony was broken and to put the cherry on top, I got bit up by bedbugs. When I voiced my concerns to the front desk, they said okay well you can either stay here or get a refund and check out. That’s it. We would have rather stayed because I usually stay there when I visit Tahoe and it’s usually a good experience, but this time around it was terrible. They didn’t apologize for any inconvenience, didn’t offer to remedy the situation in any kind of way other than us leaving. 0/10.

Too many unnecessary surprises
I thought my stay was starting out good. I was upgraded to a mini suite and all was well. Then, at 9:15 PM or so someone on my floor began using some kind of power tool. It sounded like a Jack hammer. I called and complained and the front desk person said she would ask them to stop. Then, around midnight an alarm came on and we were all evacuated from the hotel. With my dog I walked down six flights of stairs. It turned out to be a false alarm. Needless to say I didn’t get much rest that night.

I always stayed here when it was the Hard Rock. Service was great, room was always clean, restaurants there, and coffee downstairs. Now it’s a little more dead, I guess they’re still fixing it up, I’m not actually sure. Coffee shop is gone, furniture is looking old, it just wasn’t as cozy as it used to be.
