Although a huge hotel, this was the quietest room we have ever stayed in. The room itself was beautiful and furnished to a high standard. There's the added extra of being able to choose to have different pillows delivered to the room for no extra charge. My ergonomic pillow made for a great night's sleep. Rooms can only be accessed using the room key which also operates the lift. As a result, it felt very safe.
Breakfast was epic! If it wasn't at the buffet, I doubt it existed. Everything you could wish for from cold meats and hummus to scrambled eggs, bacon and home made muesli. Too much to list here but kept us satisfied all day.
Staff were very friendly and informed about local services such as ferries times (frequent) Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The only thing that was tricky was the parking outside the hotel. We parked there to drop off our bags before checking in. You must get a 30 minute permit from the hotel reception and display this in your car asap. We did this and were still issued a parking fine. The hotel staff were great and emailed the parking company to explain we had followed the rules and the fine was cancelled. Yet another example of their fantastic customer service.
Car parking is very convenient around the corner and competitively priced. Using the parking app is the most convenient way to pay and the hotel has parking on two floors of a multi storey just for their guests. This is accessed using the hotel's pass code in a lift so very secure.
