Not The Best.
I have stayed with Mornington a few times and have never had such a run-down room. I was actually shocked. The floor was like a plastic cover which was sticky, there were quite many stains on the walls and baseboards. When I got into the room, there was a small wet spot on the leather seating bench - which was unexplained. Wasn't too impressed with this particular room (on the 6th floor). Also with the hot Summer and no air conditioning, especially on the 6th floor, a fan would be nice.

Excellent location with lots of restaurants nearby. The hotel restaurant was great as well as were the breakfasts. Our room was not large, but the bed was very comfortable and there were great curtains to block out the light as the sun sets very late in the Swedish summer.

Everything was great about our stay - good breakfast, clean rooms, excellent location, black out shades that actually worked - except for the blond woman with the black glasses who worked at the reception desk. She was constantly haranguing guests and her co-workers like a school principal. I was scolded for bringing a hot dog into the lobby, my daughter heard it for opening a door she thought was a bathroom, another guest was chastised for leaving her luggage in the wrong place, and another got in trouble for asking about AC. We all joked about this woman who stood guard like a police officer looking for trouble. Otherwise, the Mornington was a good choice!
