Bright & Airy Guest House in downtown Waterbury

This meticulously cared for loft is very private, spacious, has an open layout, and is a second floor apartment that is full of natural light, unique original artwork and subtle patterns and colors.
It has a gorgeous river view, spanning lawn, a willow tree allée to wander through. Want to see fireflies at night in the summer or get lost in a sea of stars at night? This property is a perfect mix of privacy and space while being in the heart of the downtown Waterbury VT.

This space was designed by artist and owner of a local art gallery. Her design and curation experience is evident in the unique art and objects within the space as well as the light, playful layers of color and pattern. The loft is an opportunity for an immersion in light and creativity while relaxing in a comfortable open space. The oversized kitchen allows you to dive into your own culinary adventures. Area hiking and skiing guide books are available for reference and use. There is ample drawer and closet storage for longer stays. Hardwood maple flooring and an energy efficient heat exchanger keep the space very warm and cozy during the winter and cool in the summer. This 725 sq foot loft has a built in ski/snowboard rack in the entry and an exercise area with yoga mat, weights and ball within the space.

The ski and summer resorts of Stowe, Sugarbush, Mad River Glen, Bolton, and Cochran’s are readily accessible within a 30 minute drive or less.

Less than a mile away is one of Vermont’s most popular mountain bike trail networks – Perry Hill.

We are less than 5 miles from the 900-acre Waterbury Reservoir and State Park, giving you access to swimming, fishing and outdoor picnicking and the ability to rent stand up paddle boards and kayaks.

Waterbury is one of Vermont’s newest destinations for food and beverage connoisseurs - home to The Alchemist’s Heady Topper, the Prohibition Pig, Hen of the Wood, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and Cold Hollow Apple Cider Mill.

This apartment is uniquely located at the end of a residential dead end road while still in the heart of Waterbury Village! The Guest House loft is above a 2-car garage that is minimally used by the owners.

Relaxing space in quaint downtown Waterbury
What's that? You're going to Vermont and need quiet and relaxing, clean, curated space to stay in, but also want to be a nice walk or short drive from a cute downtown with good food and drinks? Boom - found it! The Guest House is a cute and comfortable second floor stay, with a full kitchen and laundry, and a comfortable living room. I had a great dinner at Salt and Rind, and may or may not have had breakfast pastries at Hender's bake shop... Everything was comfortable and easy, the only difficulty was getting out of bed while watching snow fall over the river out the bedroom window... Enjoy your stay!

Good location to downtown and easy access to other areas of Vermont that we had on our agenda. Comfortable to just hand out and linger in the mornings before heading out for the day. Kitchen was well stocked, making it easy to prepare meals the couple of nights we choice to eat in. Had a great relaxing time there and this place made it extra special.

Beautiful
This property is very beautiful. Located 30 minutes from Norwich University, which was the reason I was in Vermont. The owners are very friendly and caring people. I had expressed to them, the reason I was there was because my son had emergency surgery. Upon arrival, first thing they asked me was if my son was ok. That meant a lot to ot me. This is a very busy time in Vermont, where people travel all over to see the 🍂 changing colors. I had a rental car which was an electric car. That's all they had left at the airport. Wade and Whitney allowed me to charge it, which helped a lot. Huge thank you to Wade and Whitney. Definitely recommend it for couples trip or a single person. Oh the decor is mind-blowing. Very artistic. I will be back. My son has two more years at Norwich University.

WONDERFUL! The guest house is just as described- clean, bright and cozy! Perfect location- easy to walk or ride bikes into town. Also close to great neighboring towns of Stowe, Waitsfield and Burlington. Wade and Whitney are great hosts. We appreciated all the attention to detail and the fully stocked kitchen for when we wanted to prepare a home cooked meal. We look forward to our next visit!

Best attention to detail
Hands down the best VRBO we’ve stayed in. The attention to detail was spectacular: live plants, no smelly deodorizers, beautiful decor, comfortable bed, fuel efficiency, plenty of storage space, well supplied kitchen and bath. The view out the bedroom and kitchen window over the snowy field and river was lovely. The 3/4 mile walk to the awesome restaurants in Waterbury and 1/2 hour drive to some of the best skiing in Vermont made the location perfect for us.

This lovely large one bedroom apartment is a real gem. It offers plenty of room to spread out; a great kitchen, a comfy bedroom and a great location for access to the terrific local ski areas. One unique aspect of the apartment is the terrific interior design and decoration. There are so many interesting and unique details. The designer must be a student of Martha Stewart. Fab place to stay for exploring North Vermont
Everything was just as you see in the VRBO pics and was such a nice place to stay and explore some of Vermont. The view of the river from the apartment was gorgeous. Plenty of eateries and a supermarket within walking distance. although there is a larger supermarket (Shaws) on Route 100 going towards Ben and Jerrys. There are plenty of walks and cycle routes too. Visit Burlington - we went to Splash At The Boathouse down on the waterfront- just lovely on a sunny day. Also walk the causeway at Colchester. Enjoy!
