Lovely stay
My wife and I recently stayed at Ettington Park Hotel, using it as a base to explore the Cotswolds, and had a wonderful experience.
Dining in the hotel’s restaurant was a highlight. The service was excellent, and the food was exceptional, with reasonable prices. The restaurant could benefit from better air circulation, as it was quite warm during our meal.
The staff were lovely and very accommodating. When we expressed interest in the building's history, they offered us a private tour and provided detailed information about the property, which added a personal touch to our stay.
The cocktails were outstanding—the best we’ve had at any hotel. The pool area was also enjoyable, with a hot tub and hot rooms that we had mostly to ourselves. However, guests should note that there are two small flights of stairs to access the pool.
Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had beautiful views of the countryside. While the decor was a bit sparse for a superior room, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The air conditioning struggled a bit on a warm day, and the room could get stuffy due to limited window opening and no fan.
Overall, Ettington Park Hotel offers a charming stay with excellent service, though a few minor improvements could make it even better. We would highly recommend it to others.
