Very disappointed ☹️
Our stay was very disappointing. Having paid extra for a superior room it was anything but. Freezing cold on arrival. Everything the room was tired and wornout. The 3 old, radom unmatching chairs were theadbear with very little stuffing left. The coffee table was very bashed scratched and stained. The bed was the most uncomfortable I have slept in with a completely mismatched set of thin pillows. Dust you could write in on window cill and mould in the bathroom…… At breakfast we felt a £5 supplement (above the £24 already paid) for an egg muffin or avacado seemed steep. Having ordered full English breakfast, the bacon sausage and egg were good but we were given half a mushroom! Surely a whole one or even two wouldn’t have broken the bank, seemed miserly for no reason. We will not be back, shame as living locally we had always dreamed of one day staying at Alveston Manor.

We’ve stayed here many times before and this was no different. All the staff are always so helpful and friendly. It’s only a short walk to the town, the Avon and the RSC. We love staying the original part of the property where the floors are reassuringly squeaky and wonky…it is Shakespeare country after all.

I liked the fact the hotel would try to help you at reception and the breakfast was very tasty but would have liked to known I could have different options but buffet was good although felt could have been few pounds cheaper. The bar was relaxing but did not have time for the spa as wanted to explore Stratford which was walking distance away. The little touches from the hotel made a big difference to a lovely stay as they gave a nice card and chocolates as was our anniversary. Bed was very comfortable.

Disappointed.
Lovely hotel , but unfortunately the rooms let it down the duvet covers had stains on them… the mattress need replacements, we changed rooms and the same problem as before, housekeeping needs to get sorted, and mattress man needs to pay a visit. What a shame , the evening meal was delirious,the drinks were very expensive ,!!! service needs more staff training, breakfast help yourself good selection but it was only warm , I had a terrible night sleep,we were give 25% back . But I would like it to have been better a lovely break away spoiled because maybe to compensate .with there attitude towards care and attention of there guest .sorry !!
