Terrasse avec vue magnifique !
L'hôtel est bien situé, juste à l'extérieur de la zone à trafic limité, donc accessible en voiture. Par contre, le stationnement peut être difficile, car il est étroit et les places sont limitées (malgré qu'il y ait 2 ou 3 lots de stationnements). Nous avons stationné nous-même la voiture, mais je suggère d'utiliser les services de voiturier gratuit directement à l'hôtel pour plus de facilité. L'hôtel est propre et à distance de marche du centre historique de Sienne. La terrasse donne une vue époustouflante sur la ville et le paysage environnant. Notre chambre était propre, lumineuse avec une belle vue (presque la même vue que celle que la terrasse offre), mais très humide (malgré la présence d'un déshumidificateur dans la chambre) et l'air climatisé ne fournissait pas : il a fait 25 degrés Celcius dans la chambre tout le long de notre séjour. Le personnel est souriant et accueillant. En résumé, malgré le taux d'humidité présent dans la chambre (peut-être était-ce spécifique à notre chambre et comme nous y étions que pour une nuit, nous n'avons pas discuté de cet aspect avec le personnel), je recommande cet hôtel.

The staff was very helpful and attentive. The breakfast included was excellent with many options to choose from. The location is great, with Siena only a 5-minute walk away and other Tuscan attractions nearby. We will definitely return in the future!

Decided to visit Siena for a day for the first time and this was the best I could have opted for. Hotel has its own parking, is conveniently located around 600 meters walk from the Duomo and around 800-1000 meters from the main Piazza del Campo. Beautiful view of the country side from the 7th floor terrace. Internet is fast and staff are very clear with instructions and precise. Thank you to Claudio especially for great service!

The pictures of the rooms displayed on the website doesn’t match with the actual rooms. Booked a triple room with a view but ended up in a dark room with small windows looking to a street. The front desk staff was ignorant and blamed me. They said there might be an opening for the next day but didn’t even follow up with me. Very disappointed for their attitude. Location is good but hospitality of the front desk was bad.

We stayed at hotel Athena for one night traveling from the Dolomites to the Amalfi coast. The town of Siena is beautiful and the view was amazing from our room. However, given the 4 start rating I would have expected better. I do believe this hotel was once a 4 star hotel, but probably several decades ago. It was dated and had very thin walls. We had just traveled from a 5 start hotel - and it was a true 5 start hotel. I would compare Athena to a 2 star hotel. The walls are very thin, could hear people walking and talking like they were right next to us. Thankfully we didn’t hear anyone late or early in the morning. The room was clean, staff kind and helpful and we did have a good nights sleep. We were at the hotel for about 14 hours in total for shower and sleep. If I stayed in Siena again, we would look for other accommodations. However, I would love to see Hotel Athena after a renovation. I would pay 4x the amount for a newer, more aesthetically pleasing hotel.

Hotel Athena has a warm and welcoming staff. Our view was spectacular and the room was cleaned daily. The breakfast buffet was worth the price. We were a few minutes walk to the Duomo and the main Piazza. Highly recommend this hotel

A mixed experience at this hotel. We had a wonderful, friendly check-in experience. The room was a little small and cramped but clean. There was going to be a train strike over the weekend so we cut our stay short by a day and when we went down to ask for help getting a dinner reservation and a cab to the train station early the next morning, the person at the front desk was not only rude, but told us we should have given them more notice for dinner and it was unlikely we would get a cab at 6am. Thankfully, someone new on the desk the following morning cheerfully ordered our taxi and they were there 15 minutes later. Also, had a wonderful, albeit late, dinner at their rooftop restaurant which the front desk clerk assured us was impossible for a same day request
