This cottage is 100% what lake cottages were, Once Upon a Time. In today's world, it's a bit like glamping. A quiet, tucked away, one-lane neighborhood street, right across from the beach, campfires at night and breathtaking sunrises in the morning: Who could want for more? I suppose someone who's expecting posh accommodations. If that's what you're looking for, keep looking. If, however, you're someone who enjoys simple, old-fashioned style lakefront stays, this place has that kind of charm. It wouldn't be a terrible idea to replace the old couch and even though the living room chairs (though they look new), none are very comfortable if there's some rainy days during your stay. That said, neither is being stuck in a tent all day. Again. 'glamping'. The bathroom is teeny-tiny, as other reviews have mentioned, but unless your grooming needs are elaborate, it does the trick for a quick shower and personal needs. For the price and the location, I've no complaints that would keep me from booking this cottage again for a quiet, lake-front getaway. To our hosts: a cheese grater and a colander to drain pasta would be useful in the kitchen. <3
