Clean, Quiet, Needs Rehabbing
I booked at this location because the Sunnyvale DOES NOT CHARGE a transient occupanct tax (aka a tourist tax) and it was an unplanned stay and wanted to say money. I usually stay at the Residence Inn San Jose Airport lication, which is absolutely fabulous, but also only a few years old in all fairness. This property is incredibly dated on the exterior (early 80s-ish), somewhat dated-feeling on the inside due to the older layout with modern furnishings crammed in there. Minor maintenance/housekeeping issues (not cleanliness-related). Only a Residence Inn I stayed at in Atlanta in 2008 was as dated. The breakfast was included and fairly meh, with limited options and some items already all gone around 7am. The airport location has a massive breakfast for both domestic and international guests wsyiting a wide variety of diets and tastes. Spicy hot link sausage at breakfast was very odd. The self made waffles were great. The main dining room was so jammed with tables that you could barely get through to a free table as seated patrons were in the way! The condition of the earing area was rather gross, from the carpet to the tables and chairs and the strange and sparse application of wall decor. The small room where the food is needed rehabing as well. The location is dark and off the main road. I would rather stay at a different Marriot Property if at all possible. I would also recommend Larkspur Landing in Sumnyvale over this one.
