Checking in was a breeze. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was warm and lots of choice, but my kids were sad there was no bacon but they ate sausages instead each morning not a deal breaker. Room was clean and new looking. I will say we stayed on first floor in room 108, No balcony. There was a damp feeling in the room it was fine for me but it may bother someone else. It didn’t smell bad or anything but clothes on hangers and left around in room felt damp in the morning. Our a/c unit was on dry not cool I checked. Anyway it was all fine and I was happy overall with our choice. The kids played cards in the small lobby sitting area each morning after breakfast. The hotel has a small cozy feel, it’s not a big chain type place. Also we were offered passes to the local pool (civic center) but the timing didn’t work for our family. Oh lastly location can’t be beat, it’s walking distance to Walmart, Sobeys, Lawtons, Canadian Tire, McDonald’s and Smittys so you can park your car and walk across the street to pick up anything you need. Plus it’s close to the highway.
