we booked a triple room for a 1 night stay , really looking forward to the stay ,my wife and elderly aunty went to the room to check in and were shocked and flabbergasted with the state of the room . Its supposed to be a 4 star more like 2 , the carpets chips on the woodwork basically horrendous, they were then offered another triple , better than the first but also in a very poor state of repair ,so disoppointed the you tall young lady on reception was fantastic if the rooms were like her you would have an amazing place .

Amazing staff, really friendly and helpful for any inquiries seeing as we got there like midnight. The room was clean and laid out nicely, considering i booked three singles. Good media selection on the TV, WiFi was a quick and easy process as well. Didnt get to try the food but I'm sure it slaps! Checkout was straightforward as well, amazing customer service from those I talked to.

Very tired and looks like there has been no maintenance for sometime. Carpets are rucked in room and worn out on stairs. Headboards have grease from use of others and could do with replacing or steam cleaning as a minimum. Although there were 2 lifts only one working, had a light missing. The 2nd lift didn’t appear to be working, had no notice to say it wasn’t working, y looks of dust on lift door it had t been working for a while. There was no hairdryer in room like it said on website. Windows were really dirty. Breakfast was ok but toaster took forever to toast bread. Had stayed here before about 3 yrs ago but it just looks like it is uncared for now. Although leisure centre is still on signs at hotel it isn’t open and piano bar wasn’t open

Poor service, very tired and dated hotel.
Only one lift working and we were on top floor. Broken glass in corridor window. Very tired decor, quite damaged and not overly clean. Breakfast was awful - coffee machine not working so no option of hot drinks. No fruit, no pastries, toaster took ages to toast bread. All very poor. No information about breakfast times given on check in and no information books available in room - website stated breakfast was served until 10:30am but it closed at 9:30am. Hotel needs urgent refurbishment. Only good thing about hotel was location — very central with parking available that cost an extra £9. Wouldn’t stay again 😞

The hotel is strategically located around nice bars, restaurants, shops and malls. It is walking distance to the arena where the event I attended was held. All the staff are polite and helpful, particularly anastasia, andrea, and the guy at the breakfast area.

Reception staff friendly and welcoming. Family room was spacious, kingsize bed clean and comfortable, bathroom spacious and clean with plenty of hot water and nice towels. Condition of room carpet a little off putting but overall a convenient town centre hotel for a short stay.

Enjoyable stay at the Dragon
We enjoyed our recent stay at the The Dragon hotel. It is located in the centre of Swansea, close to shops and eating places. The Hotel and our room were clean. Bed comfortable, but furniture in the room (chairs) rather the worse for wear. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and efficient...a credit to the Dragon. Especially the welcoming receptionist Andrea, the cheerie breakfast server Dui, and the friendly gentleman who was always tidying up the entrance of the hotel. They added to our enjoyable stay. Parking was an additional £9 a night paid on arrival, but very handy as in hotel grounds and you can come and go as you please.
