Come enjoy a peaceful getaway at Sweetwater Stables. Our horses and other animals can’t wait to meet you. We are a full 30 acre homestead with a garden, cows, goats, sheep and chickens. Could not have had a more perfect weekend in the mountains. From a personal check in process with Mrs Mary to waking every morning to have coffee (and carrots) with the horses, it was amazing. Clean, fully stocked and beautiful views to boot! Located 1 mile from a winery and The Lost Sea!!! Could not have asked for more!!! Thanks David and Mary for opening up your paradise to us!

Equestrian Getaway
Honestly this was probably the best rental we've stayed at. The pictures dont do it justice. This was clean, exactly as described, cozy , comfortable and perfect size for my wife and I , the shower was a little tight but no complaints. We spent the weekend here and went to Lost sea. And drove to Chattanooga on Saturday evening for a boat ride on the Tennessee River..the location was perfect, on the farm with rolling hills and nice views. Spoke with David and made us feel right at home. My wife loved getting up in the morning and going out the back door right in to the stable and visiting with the horses. Definitely will be returning as this did not disappoint!

Relaxing on the Ranch
Enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset in the rolling hills of Sweetwater, TN. Property owners were very nice and enjoyed staying in the quiet, clean and comfortable studio apartment beside the stable. Would definitely vacation there again.

Off the beaten path, but still convenient
First of all, our hosts couldn't have been more accomodating from meeting us upon arrival to their hospitality and willingness to tell us about the area. They let me pet all the animals which i loved. The place is out in the country, but only 5 minutes from the nearest Walmart. It was the best of everything. Thanks Wendy and David for a great stay!

David met us when we arrived. Showed us the place. It was wonderful. He said let him know if we needed anything. The space was perfect for us and our husky. Kitchen area along with the living room was superb. They also had washer and dryer. We saw horses, cows, dogs, and sheep. It was very quiet and you could see all the stars at night. Will stay there again, when we are back in the area.

Ah the farm life! Land, animals and a comfy, cozy getaway!
The setting is rural idyllic - quiet and scenic. The studio was spotless, the bed comfy, and the hosts friendly. It's well appointed with TV and Wifi, frig and microwave, hot plate and electric skillet, washer and dryer. Quality furnishings and some essential for kitchen and bath supplied. We use to own a farm in the neighboring town and this was a perfect spot for us to settle in and still be close to visit friends and the new owner of our farm. It's definitely on our list for repeat visits.

Our stay was wonderful. The property was perfect to get away from the city and enjoy the sounds of the country. We loved watching the baby goats, feeding the horses and waking around the homestead. David and Wendy were perfect hosts giving privacy but being there if anything was needed. Highly recommend a stay here! Hope we can return sometime.

When I got to the property I was greeted by David he was super friendly and showed me around the property. Wendy was super friendly as well and all the animals and property were absolutely stunning. Will definitely have to come back. Just a fair warning the shower is a bit small but water pressure and temperatures were spot on. I have nothing bad to say about this place highly recommend!

A wonderful experience
Sweetwater Stables is an idyllic property in a beautiful country setting. The apartment is well-appointed, well-stocked, comfortable, has high-speed Internet, and is PEACEFUL - perfect for my month-long getaway while working on case preparation. The stable is beautiful as are the grounds. Most importantly, Dave and Wendy are exceedingly gracious and interesting hosts who have had some great experiences, like living on a sailboat and exploring the Carribean. They shared their time answering my many questions regarding their upscale homestead and its sustainability. They graciously permitted me to take part in various activities including participating in goat and sheep inoculation, engaging with the farrier as he trimmed, balanced and shoed the horse’s hooves, buying chickens at the farmer’s market, taking in sheep bred in Ohio and feeding time which is the highlight of every farm animals’ day. I made friends with their strikingly handsome horses and mules (apples and carrots had a lot to do with that). Wendy made my friend’s week with refresher riding instruction on Ivey and Sable. All-in-all, it was a truly memorable stay.

Perfect Accommodations & Hosts
From the moment we were greeted by David, the host who is most welcoming, we immediately felt at home. The accommodations well exceeded our expectations. Nicely decorated, beautiful views and they provided every convenience possible to make our stay very comfortable. The location was easy to get to and close to a variety of things to do. Sweetwater is known for their historic downtown charm full of antique stores and shopping. A must see attraction The Lost Sea is also minutes from the property. If you enjoy hiking you are a short drive to Tellico Plains that provides more to explore on the Cherohala Skyway, one of the few scenic by ways in the United States with many hiking trails and water rapids along the way. Bald River Falls is accessible off this road as well. This rental is a hidden gem in a country setting yet a few minutes drive from town. Highly recommend!!

Sweetwater Farm Host met us to show us the apartment and and give us the key even though we did not get there until late at night. The apartment was very clean when we arrived. Bed was very comfortable. Host and Hostess were very nice to us and checked to see if we needed anything. They treated us as though they had known us for years. When we were getting ready to leave for home they came by and invited us back again in the future. This apartment in just a few miles from the tourist attraction The Lost Sea and some water falls. We look forward to going back and spending time at their apartment at the Sweetwater Farm and the town of Sweetwater Tenn.
