Wake up in your king-sized memory foam bed to golden sunrises over the Puget Sound. This guesthouse is detached from the main home and tucked away behind a gated French Chateau style estate in a quiet picturesque neighborhood. One mile from the Harbor and downtown shops, restaurants and breweries.

Guest home has a full-sized kitchen complete with everything you need to make a great cup of coffee or romantic dinner. Comfy living room area perfect for unwinding and snuggling in with a good book or movie. Stunning Italian marble bathroom with double vanity, walk-in-shower and full-sized washer and dryer. Home has 2 electric based wall heating units located in the living room and bedroom and a fireplace in the living room.

Meander around the meticulously kept gardens of the main home and don't forget to catch some "Morning Therapy" by watching the stunning sunrises, complete with Mount Rainier, Vashon Island and Point Defiance Views. The most amazing stay
From the minute we entered the palatial gate, we felt like we were in a storybook. The French provincial accommodation surrounded by beautiful gardens is just the beginning. Our host Shannon and Lorne welcomed us with a tour of the gorgeous view of the Puget sound. The interior was just as amazing. We will definitely be back!!

Lorne and Shannon were great hosts and very helpful. The property was exceptionally beautiful and peaceful. It was so relaxing as well. Our stay at this incredible home was perfect. The location is close enough to town, but no traffic noise. The views across the sound were so beautiful. The owners were very attentive and the house was well stocked and it was so comfortable. This is a gem. Put this home on your must visit list!

The Guest House itself was spectacular. This is a one King bedroom house with a very comfortable layout through out. It truly is a perfect size for a couple. The kitchen is well supplied and there is a laundry room. The shower is awesome, and the bathroom vanity is beautiful. But most of all - The View. Whoa! We spent every glorious afternoon out back watching the boats go by on the Sound, and the small aircraft coming for landing at the Tacoma Narrows Regional Airport. And when the clouds were right - Mt Rainer was there in the background. It was magnificent!

Shannon made our getaway even better than we imagined. She had a bottle of wine and dry sodas in the fridge. She even picked fresh figs off her tree for us to enjoy! The grounds are well manicured with views for days. Just relax and make unforgettable memories here!

The Chateau by the Sea was the perfect place to explore around beautiful Gig Harbor - tucked behind a gate in the guesthouse of an exclusive, waterfront property (with exquisite landscaping!), the rental was comfortable, clean, and lovely. It reminded us of Italy. Shannon was a thoughtful and friendly host with an eye for detail and extra little touches that made our stay warm and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Perfect getaway
I have stayed in many VRBO's over the years, this was by far the best. Home is exactly as described by host. Absolutely beautiful setting, many amenities in the kitchen, comfy bed and views, views, views! I was looking for a rejuvenation weekend, could have stayed another week it was so sublime. Winter Getaway
We arrived just after Christmas for a short get away. It was a wonderful, rejuvenating few days. The chateau is beautiful, comfy and well appointed. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is lovely. Shannon and Loren made us feel very welcomed, were flexible and were available when we needed them. Can't wait to come back in the summer months. Definitely happy we chose to stay there and you will be too!

What a wonderful place to rejuvenate. It’s quiet, serene, and beautiful. The chateau is in a quiet neighborhood with access to amazing shopping/restaurants within a short walking distance along the harbor. The host, Shannon, is super personable and lovely. I wasn’t too disappointed when our show was rescheduled since it will give us another opportunity to enjoy another stay.

Gorgeous carriage house
The property is absolutely gorgeous! The “estate” is magnificent and the location perfect! The property is the carriage house attached to the main home. The interior is stunning! Wonderful bed and fabulous bath. Owners are very nice and accommodating. Dogs are adorable too. I would point out that there is no view directly from the carriage house so you will need to walk around the main house to see the incredible view. There is a lovey seating area down a little hill just for VRBO guest. Very comfortable. We loved sitting there and watching boats and the gorgeous sunset.
