The rooms are very very small. They do mention this online but for two people with big suitcases, the room is a squeeze. The location is nice, central to a lot of Taipei’s best walking areas, and the bed and shower were divine.

The hotel is very conveniently located near main train station from where you can explore Taipei. There are also various shopping streets and river walk with a lot do. I have stayed in citizenM in other cities around the world and they all have the same setup and staff. I really enjoyed everything except a bit of noise coming from a big highway right next to hotel.

The light at corridor is quite dark. If someone stand in front of your room, you hardly see the face of the peron from inside door hole.

I stayed for two nights after flying in late. It was the most convenient hotel with just a short walk from the express train station (take Exit 6 or 7) to the hotel. Would stay again

Be careful with their change policy
The hotel is fine, including service desk. I found a hair that's not mine in the bed the first day. There is no hair conditioner. The complaint I have is with the cancellation/ change policy. I understand that when it past certain date, you're going to be charged for one night's stay for any changes. I originally booked four nights. However after the second night, it was all over the news that a typhoon is coming and would affect the whole island. The landing happened to be the day I planned to leave Considering the risk, later turned out to be realized, I had to leave immediately because the only flight available was on that day. Therefore, I checked out two nights earlier. After several rounds of conversation with the hotel, they refused to refund me, not even for one night. I'm very disappointed with this inflexible policy that doesn't take into consideration of customers safety under extreme weather conditions. They don't even follow their regular change policy in my case.

The bed at the citizenm was absolutely fantastic. The sheets were perfect and we loved that the bed was placed directly up to the window so you could gaze out of your window from bed. We also loved how you could change the colors of the night lights and the convenience of the hotel (it was literally a 3 minute walk to the MRT station and to some larger bus stops). Unfortunately the red led light was out for our room so we couldn't have any color that needed red (such as purple, red, orange etc) but overall it was a great experience! The room was also very clean and well kept

An excellent base for further exploring. Ximen and Ximending Night Markets easily walkable. Was an extremely tiny room so unpacking was not an option but fine for a short stay.

Overall had a good 2 night stay. Only bummer was I got the lowest floor despite requesting for a high floor when booking few months ago ( I checked in at 7pm so could be my fault ) Cleanliness was actually pretty good. Bed was huge and comfy too. No frills but good enough. Location was fine, walking distance to various train station too. Lift was abit weird though, the buttons wasn’t sync. Room is super small but should be expected when booking. Overall would stay again, amazing view through the huge windows if u had higher floors!

Almost everything about CitizenM is en pointe. The only thing I’d change is their "self-check-in" process. In the name of expediency, it’s actually quite the opposite. Instead of speeding things up, it leaves travelers—already worn out from airport lines and customs—in a lengthy staring contest with a screen. It’s not enough to keep me from coming back, but new travelers, caught off guard, often look like stranded passengers on a deserted island. They quickly grow frustrated, looking helplessly at the dedicated check-in “Jedi,” who stand by just watching the hilarity unfold. What’s supposed to save time just ends up making the check-in process feel like near torture. Yet, I’m a repeat offender at CitizenM because the overall experience is fantastic. The second-floor lounge feels like home with its cozy mid-century vibe, and the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired.
