AN IDEAL SPOT ON AN IDEAL BEACH. The Casita is located directly on the sands of Tamarindo Beach. It is a studio with 1 king bed or 2 twins, 1 bath and sleeps 2.

Casita Del Mar is a separate private unit built up in the trees in order to enjoy the ocean view and the cool ocean breezes and gives maximum privacy. Located on the southern end of Tamarindo Beach, midway between Tamarindo and Langosta, the Casita is an ideal hideaway. The Casita is situated in a tropical garden in a quiet, secluded neighborhood across from Isla del Capitan and three doors north of Hotel Capitan Suizo, one of the premier hotels in Costa Rica.

Yet just a few steps to the white sands of Tamarindo Beach puts you in the best location for sunning, surfing, swimming, kayaking to Isla del Capitan or a moonlight stroll after dinner. Walk two minutes to Hotel Capitan Suizo and its world-class restaurant or walk ten minutes to the heart of Tamarindo for shops, restaurants and night life. Best of all, you can look out at the Tamarindo Bay to check out the waves, watch the fishing fleet go out and return each day or simply read, relax and monitor the daily activity of the beach.

The Casita is a spacious studio apartment up high in the mango tree and coconut palms, many of our guests refer to it as "The Treehouse".

Casita Del Mar has a bath with an open shower, a full kitchen, air-conditioning, and an outside terrace in the trees. There is cable TV, Wi-Fi and maid service. Off-street secured parking is available on the property.

Enjoy days of swimming or surfing, horseback ride through the surrounding rivers and hills, savor the local fiesta scene, and then relax with a private massage on the terrace overlooking the garden or have a special beachside massage. This property is right on the beach! It is outdated & needed updating. The shower head & tap were leaking badly & should've been replaced before we got there! The photos taken for the website were taking with a wide angled lense, so it leads you to believe the property is bigger than it actuqlly is!!

Casita Del Mar was a wonderful place to stay. I can not say enough good things about my stay. This condo is perfect for one person or a couple. Perfect location for a ten minute walk to town on the street or from the beach directly in front of the condo. The property is well kept and the host is great for scheduling tours, activities, or transportation.

Beautiful Casita, great property on the beach!
My wife and I were celebrating 25 years together and we could not have picked a better place! The property is beautifully maintained with lush, tropical gardens, and gated security. That makes you feel extremely safe and secure. The property opens up directly on the beach with amazing views, The Great location just off the hustle and bustle but not too far to walk to a really nice restaurant of your choice or walk down the beach to a bar or coffee shop. The shower was hot and the bed was comfortable. The owner offer also provides amenities such as beach chairs, and boogie boards That make it convenient When enjoying beach activities. There’s a large mango tree in the courtyard that happened to drop a couple mangoes that we really enjoyed eating. I highly recommend this place and look forward to visiting with the whole family in the near future!

The BEST little spot on the beach
We are finishing our stay at Casita del Mar this evening and we have had the BEST time here. This is a fantastic spot if you’re looking for a chill vibe with surfing right outside your door, seriously the break is right at your doorstep. The place itself is perfect for a couple, small and cozy, feels like you’re staying in a tree house with all the tree tops around it. It also feels private even though we also had someone staying at Casa del Mar at the front of the property. This is on the edge of the town so great if you’re looking for a little more quiet than staying right in downtown Tamarindo. There are plenty of surf rentals and lessons right out front of the casita as well. Communication with William and Justin was excellent, they were fast to respond and helped us right away. Overall we had a great time and would highly recommend. I want to come back and rent the Casa for my family!

Amazing Beachfront Stay in Tamarindo
Roger and his wife Pat were amazing hosts. They were extremely accommodating and easy to communicate with. Their house is located right on the beach and just outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown Tamarindo (but still within walking distance). I highly recommend staying here!!

Casita Del Mar was the perfect to place to stay in Tamarindo! It is literally steps from the beach and a short walk into Tamarindo. Roger and Pat were excellent hosts. The property is beautiful and very private. It is almost impossible to find something right on the beach so Casita Del Mar is a gem! Beachfront Gem - the best of both worlds!
We stayed in the charming treetop casita for 3 nights and wish it were longer. Roger and his wife were such wonderful hosts . Roger gave us a lot of helpful information prior to our visit. As soon as we got there, we felt so comfortable and at home. They explained evee And provided great local tips. The casita is private with a large deck among the mango trees. The beach is right there- just walk out the gate ! It is also just a short stroll to all of the shops, restaurants and bars. While in the casita or on the property it was complete tranquility. We looked at many options before choosing to stay here and we are so glad that we did ! We look forward to our next visit. Thanks to Roger and his wife for being so welcoming and friendly. Don’t hesitate to book this place - you will be happy that you did!

Super hosting, quiet spot close to action & next to beach
The hosting was absolutely superb!! The property owner sends early emails with good information about resources and what to expect. The property manager helps provide just about anything you may need - such as van, golf cart, and quick information about the area. The location is a rare place for Tamarindo with the property being on the beach. With the lush trees there is only a slim view of the water but having it be just steps away is amazing. We walked to town in 10 minutes, or did a scooter for $2 and were there in 2 minutes. Private parking was nice for the days we rented a golf cart, and it felt safe to leave it in the gated and secure area. In that same secure area, I was able to leave my surfboard overnight with no concerns. The studio itself is just right with a small kitchen, open feel, beautiful wood ceiling, modern TV and cable with WIFI, and the building was very nice and very well kept. We highly recommend this place!!!! -Sean & Christine.

Our stay at Casa Del Mar was perfect! The owners (Roger & Pat) were on site in the big house in front and were able to assist us with check in and were available throughout our entire stay. The blue book they have inside was very thorough along with the instructions and info they provided at check in. The location was perfect, not too close to all the hustle and bustle at the city center but also close enough to walk to it. The location to the beach was very accessible as the walkway is on site and had private access through the gate to it. We loved every minute of our stay and would definitely come back!

Outside of the noise, but close enough to walk to downtown. Easy beach access.
This property is perfectly placed just outside of the noisy night life, within walking distance of downtown and right on the beach. Safe gated area. We stayed in the casita and the owners were in the big house. May want to rent both the big house and the casita if available and you don’t want to share the space as I could see two different experiences if paired with someone who wanted a different type of vacation.

First trip to Costa Rica
If you are looking for a place right on the beach but also within walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants in Tamarindo this is the place. It's not easy to circumvent Costa Rica but thanks to Roger and his manager Willie our trip was great. We used their help from airport pickup to drop off and everything in between. We stayed 7 days in Tamarindo and engaged in many sightseeing tours as well as just relaxing on the beach. The property is safe and secure with a locked gate that leads to the street and one to the beach. The property is located on a second level living area and the stairs are easily manageable. It's not the biggest of living areas but it is perfect for a couple. The AC was great but the unit allows you to enjoy the fresh wind from the beach if you choose. Thanks Roger for your hospitality.

Stayed with my elderly mother. I had looked at the previous comments and can definitely vouch for the 5/5 ratings the place always gets. It is well deserve. The location is just perfect! It's so close to the beach and to some excellent restaurants. The place felt very safe. Wifi worked well. We enjoyed the visit of the monkeys, so close to us. Communication was excellent. Can't wait to come back!

This property is very well situation, walking distance from downtown Tamarindo and directly on the beach with a surf school next to it. William is the manager and frankly, he made our stay worry free and went out of his way to help us out. The only downside for me was the lack of curtains, made us wake up pretty early as lots of light coming in at 5h30am. Other than that, it was clean and had absolutely everything we needed. Would recommend :)
