Barossa Bed & Breakfast

Barossa Bed and Breakfast is a Fully Self Contained private property, with no hosts or other guests.

It's an original 1880 Ironstone cottage, located in the historic town of Tanunda, in the heart of the Barossa Valley.

Barossa Bed & Breakfast has gone through extensive renovations and can now provide guests the boutique accommodation they have been searching for.

The cottage maintains all the original architectural details, like the Ironstone front of house, high ceilings, original skirting boards and ceiling roses remaining true to its heritage but providing all the modern comforts.

Guests have plenty of areas to relax in, be it our undercover outdoor living and dining area, or read in one of our hanging pods, it is your to use and enjoy.

Barossa Bed & Breakfast provided guests with full breakfast provisions, as well as a bottle of boutique Dutschke wine, and appetizers on arrival.

Our location is second to none literally surrounded by over 150 wineries many local to Tanunda.

With main street frontage guests can watch local attractions and events that pass by the front door. The Tour Down Under, Tanunda Town Day, Barossa Christmas Parade, and Vintage Festival all pass by the front door.

While events like, Gourmet weekend, A Day on the green, are all close by. Its the place to stay if you want to be part of the Barossa Culture, town and feel.

Barossa bed & Breakfast contains three bedrooms, each with King bed. (one King bed can be split into two singles).

Main bedroom with en-suite contains a luxurious double shower, vanity and toilet. Main bathroom provides a deep bath, vanity, double shower, and separate toilet.

We are child friendly and are happy for the children to use existing beds. However we cater just as well for the executives or honeymooners alike.

Luxury personified
A stunning property, extremely well furnished with thought given to every need. Our compliments to Yvette - she went well beyond our expectations. The cottage was within easy walking distance of the shops and reasonable distance of a number of wineries. Would definitely return to this property. Recommended without hesitation.

Fantastic stay in a lovely property
We stayed at the Barossa Bed & Breakfast in the winter school holidays and had a fantastic break with the family. This is a high-end luxury property with amazing attention to detail. The wine, nibbles and breakfast provisions were ample and quality. Our kids loved the board games, and couldn’t wait to get into the plush beds with electric blankets! A slight hiccup at check out was quickly resolved by Yvette, but all other aspects of check-in, communication and preparation were impeccable. We’re already planning when to come back (maybe without kids)

Perfect Weekend
2 couples had the pleasure of staying here for the weekend. Unfortunately with Corona virus in everyone’s life at the moment our winery lunch was cancelled. This wasn’t a big problem as the house is so well set up we were able to stay in and cook and enjoy this lovely home. A Lazy afternoon in the courtyard reading and Netflix at night a simple and relaxed time was had by all of us. Terrific instructions on how to use everything. There is beautiful quality linen and toiletries throughout and plenty of kitchen supplies. The welcome birthday cake wine and other treats were a lovely touch. Probably one Of the best homes we’ve ever rented. Oh and breaky supplies were perfect .. Definatley would highly reccomend Thankyou

The Perfect Getaway
From the moment I made initial contact I was impressed with the service. Every single comfort was taken care of. The accommodation is exceptionally clean and beautifully styled. The beds are exceptional. The Kitchen and Laundry have the highest quality appliances. The cheese & fruit platter and bubbles on arrival were well received and welcoming - all beautiful local produce. Ample breakfast supplies. Netflix and plenty of games to entertain. Quality soaps and shampoos if you don't bring your own. Highly recommended. We will definitely be returning.

Night away with friends
Great property! The standouts were the little touches you don't often find in many places, umbrellas to use, music/spotify access, loads of food provisions etc. We were having such a great time with our friends for a catchup we were even allowed a late checkout. Absolutely couldn't find even the tiniest fault. Perfect!

The best place in the Barossa
This place is fantastic; without doubt the very best place to stay in the Barossa! It is a charming old stone house that has been renovated fairly recently with the best of everything. Very comfortable and ultra clean with everything you could wish for, and the large covered area at the rear with BBQ is a great place to relax. It is only 3 minute's walk to shops and restaurants. Yvette is the perfect hostess who provides impeccable service with fresh local provisions tailored to your needs, and a bottle of quality wine. It is the little things that make this place really stand out ; big fluffy bath towels, quality toiletries, robes and slippers, high speed wi fi and the list goes on. It is more like a five star hotel than a home stay where everything is first class. I highly recommend this house and if you stay here you will not be disappointed! Tanunda is right in the centre of the Barossa and this is the perfect place to stay as all of the other Barossa towns are only 10 or 15 minutes away.

Amazing stay
My husband and I stayed here following our wedding and it was absolutely perfect. Every small detail was taken care of, and the surprise bottle of bubbles, cheeses and chocolates were so special. Yvette's communication was fantastic, and we even extended our stay by a few days. We will definitely be back!

Unbelievable - a must stay
What a truly amazing experience. You could not have wanted for anything else - every aspect of a home stay was catered for. From the beautiful house and its luxury fit out to the attention to detail for toiletries, amenities and food provisions. The proximity to the main street and many other Barossa attractions was a stand out. Without any hesitation I would highly recommend staying at Barossa Bed & Breakfast and thank the owners for their standout style and magnificent house.
