The Otway Nest is a beautiful couple's getaway retreat surrounded by the spectacular Great Otway National Park. Just 15 minutes from the Great Ocean Road and 20 minutes from dining, groceries and retail at Apollo Bay, it is an ideal restorative sanctuary, or as a base to explore the region.

The space

The brand-new luxury accomodation at The Otway Nest is peaceful, quiet and private, set in gorgeous gardens, and surrounded by rainforest and farm paddocks. Guests are delighted with the serenity, tranquility, the fresh air and the birdlife and wildlife.

Boutique in design yet rich in detail and amenity, The Otway Nest is introduced by a private entrance into a lovely room with highlight windows capturing glorious views of ancient rainforest trees.

There's a luxury queen bed with electric blankets, linen, oversized pillows, doonas, quilts and blankets, and storage and clothes hanging space.

As well as a smart TV, Netflix, Apple TV and Prime, and WiFi, there are board games, a small library, binoculars for birdwatching and an umbrella.

The ensuite bathroom includes a walk-in shower, soft Egyptian cotton bath towels, soaps and shampoos, and a hair dryer.

The comprehensive kitchenette features an air fryer oven, hotplates, fridge, microwave, Nespresso coffee maker and milk frother, toaster and kettle, and has plentiful crockery, cutlery, glassware, utensils etc. We also provide complimentary provisions such as cereals, oats, fresh milk, jams, tea, coffee pods, oils, mustards and so on.

There's also bicycle storage available if you wish, a Weber BBQ with full LPG tank and all BBQ accessories, a petanque set, and a variety of bicycles to borrow for both adults and children.

A few metres away, The Otway Haven is also available - slightly larger and can accommodate up to four people.

Pets

We are listed as pet-friendly, and we are, though we require you to discuss pets with us before booking, as we have sheep and alpacas in neighbouring paddocks. If you bring a pet, even if your booking states you are, but have not discussed it with us before booking, we may not be able to let your pet stay.

Guest access

The Otway Nest is a newly-built private guest accomodation wing of our main house. Suited for a couple, it has its own entrance, bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and dining area.

The Otway Nest is accessed from a guest carpark, and via a short path and a few steps through the gardens. At night, the path is illuminated.
