Good stay. The parking situation is a little odd in that it costs €40 but you then have to walk to/from to get your car (passing car parks on the way) but overall a good stay.

Have just returned from an amazing stay at the Hotel Villa Belvedere. The best thing about this hotel is the location, just far enough from the main hustle and bustle atmosphere of Taormina, set in beautiful grounds overlooking the bay of Taormina. You really do feel like you're experiencing a beautiful ornate and authentic Italian villa as a boutique hotel. The hotel is lovely and quiet, no noisy groups around the pool area. Just a lovely tranquil vibe. All the staff are extremely helpful . The lunches at the poolside were lovely. The breakfasts were great as well. Unfortunately , we had a bad experience with the room ( room 6) we were given. Considering the price we paid for the room per night ( ~£600 per night , which in any other country you could get a 5 star standard of property) , the room was absolutely awful. Old , worn furniture , musty smell. The bathroom was terrible, no space at all and just a shower curtain. We found out after using the shower for the first time that it didn't drain away and flooded the entire bathroom and then into our main room and throughout the corridor. This was the straw that broke the camel's back and we had to complain about the room. The room was of a 1-2 star standard in any other country I have visited. However the hotel did react quickly and cleaned up the flooded area and moved us to another room the following day. The new room was like a different world completely. A lovely room . We will return and select a different room next.

We loved our stay at the Belvedere. This is a beautiful hotel with Sicilian charm. It is very walkable to the busy streets (~5 minutes), and conveniently tucked away on a relaxing street. Phenomenal views of the sea and a wonderful pool area. The staff were wonderful, extremely helpful and kind. The hotel was very clean. We stayed at a small apartment that was detached from the main hotel (~2 minute walk). The room was very spacious, modern, with amazing views and easy access to the hotel. The hotel had one of the best lunches we had during our entire 2 week Italy vacation, that should tell you something! Don’t miss the opportunity to stay at this wonderful hotel, we can’t wait to go back!

Outstanding. Exceptional hotel. A rare gem. In my view, the best hotel by far in Taormina. Perfectly located amidst lush gardens with magnificent views of the sea and bays below. Tastefully furnished with great attention to detail and in a refined and elegant style. Impeccably maintained. Well appointed and beautifully decorated suite with large garden terrace overlooking the sea. Wonderful breakfast with local delicacies and excellent lunch served by the pool. Staff throughout the hotel were warm, courteous, welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. One had the impression of being a guest in a private residence. I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel and look forward to visiting again.

The staff was friendly and always helpful, the view from our room was beautiful. Bed was comfortable and room size was good, the only downside was a small bathroom and the rooms could be updated. Overall, it’s within a 8 min walk to the shops and restaurants and nightlife, and right next door to the gardens and a short walk to the cable car that takes you to the beaches.

My gf and i ended our self driven tour of Sicily with three days in Taormina and reserved a modest room at Via Belvedere based on pics and reviews. On arrival we were met by Joshua who informed us that our room had been booked and he was going to upgrade us to a suite. We ended up in The Rock Suite and it was stunning. It was like our own apartment with our own elevator and room service! The most beautiful view each morning from the super comfy bed of vines and flowers hanging from the cliffside that the room is tucked up under making it completely private as well! A fully furnished kitchen leading to a huge balcony with outside shower overlooking the city all the way to the beach. Joshua and his staff were amazing the entire time and made more effort to make us feel special than we deserved. I could write a short story of the help and hospitality provided by the staff. It wrapped up our amazing trip with the best hotel experience i think weve ever had! If i would have known it was going to go so well i would have proposed! Thanks Joshua!

Excellent choice for Taormina!
The hotel was perfectly located and an easy walk to dining, shops, beach and sites. The front desk staff were very helpful and courteous and accomodating to all our needs and questions. Parking your car is a bit tough but that is true everywhere in Taoromina. We had a room with a balcony facing the ocean that was perfect. The room itself was clean and in great condition. (And i am a very fussy traveler!) The breakfast buffet was full of local foods and open late in the morning for those "sleep in" days. The bar was always open, pool service and bar staff were great and the pool was in a great location, in excellent condition and never crowded. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely well appointed property in fantastic location for exploring Taormina. Our family of four was very comfortable in the Magdalena suite. The staff was always gracious, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend.
