While it’s a lovely view and the staff are pleasant the services were not what I expected. Breakfast included meant the items were in the refrigerator and you had to make the breakfast. For example make your own cappuccino, cut and peel your fruit. Serve it yourself. And then there was a sign that washing the dishes wasn’t included. I wasn’t expecting this so we didn’t use it. It was disappointing. Also, they didn’t have the toiletry items. It didn’t affect me since I had some with me. I won’t go there again.

It's a lovely venue with a terrace and jacuzzi giving views over Taormina and a central location. The bed was comfortable, but the room was very small. The owner was very nice and an excellent host.

When we arrived we learnt that the hotel was overbooked so need to stay another place they provided. So disappointing after 13 hours flight ! But Michele and Mina were so helpful and friendly that they solved the issue and we stayed in a nice room. I must say that they are amazing helping for your trip and more. The location, view and breakfast are incredible ! We will recommend the place to our friends!

We stayed for our wedding anniversary, the location is perfect, close enough to the centre and sights, but far enough away that it was peaceful. The views from the rooms are breathtaking... Fantastic breakfast. Definitely recommend the hotel.

Room with a view
Isoco is well located and close to all the action. The directions we were given were helpful and we had no trouble finding our way there. Mina is the manager. She is lovely, friendly and efficient. She provided us with a welcoming aperitif when we arrived late afternoon. Our room was clean and compact. My wife was horrified, though, to find that we had a detached bathroom that required us to walk across the “public” hallway when we needed to access the toilet or shower. The bathroom was tiny. Fortunately the issue with the bathroom was compensated for by the wonderful view we had from our balcony and I HAD been warned about the detached bathroom at the time I booked on line. I just hadn’t told my wife! Isoco has a number of rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Make clear to them whether you want ensuite or are ok with detached before you book. Breakfast is buffet-style and fine. Mina makes a terrific little omelette on request. Isoco provides a great little roof-top hot-tub and several lounge beds on two large balconies. There are about 40 steps to climb from the street to the front door. Makes it a little awkward when you have suitcases. We were given a tiny parking place for our Fird Focus which resulted in me getting a couple of scratches on the paintwork. They was annoying but I probably have only myself to blame. Isoco is a little worn out. “Shabby chic” is how my wife described it. But it’s good value for Taormina which is a nice place to visit although super busy!

Isoco is well located, about a 5-10 minute walk from the town centre. It's a nice setting, with water views and access to a terrace, the rooms are basic but clean and have everything you need- and love the decorations! Good breakfast, we couldn't park on site but Michele arranged for someone to take our rental car to the garage for 20 Euros per day, which is pretty steep but Taormina overall is quite expensive. Bathroom is across the hall from the room which isn't too much of a pain but it's pretty small. Good if you need something that won't break tha budget.

Nice common areas, our room was clean but not the same as the picture advertised (very strangely decorated). Our private bathroom was in the hall and the door didn't shut well and was very difficult to lock.

Positives: great views, friendly and accommodating host, convenient location, free parking. Negatives: avoid cooked breakfast options (cappuccino is from sachet), rooms in need of refurbishment, bed uncomfortable, towels old and threadbare, many rooms not en suite, rooms not well sound proofed, WiFi slow and inconsistent. Very prurient theme to artwork on display, not to everyone's taste. Some of these negatives are due to the age of the building, but they detracted from the overall comfort and enjoyment of our stay

This hotel is great value as most of the other options in Taormina are very expensive. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly and when we arrived, greeted us with a welcome drink and a useful introduction to Taormina. The room was clean and comfortable and had its own balcony with an amazing view of the coastline (the private bathroom is located across the corridor from the room but is very close).

Generally quiet and attractive hotel
The hotel is about 5 mins walk from the main entrance of Taormina, in a quiet location away from the general hubbub of the town. The hotel is set over several floors with attractive landscaped grounds, with lemon, orange and walnut trees, and lots of seats/beds to enjoy the views and sunshine. Michele and Mina were excellent hosts, arranging check-in in advance and were very accommodating when we asked for their help to book a tour of Etna. The one downside of the hotel is that the bathrooms are not en suite but across the room access corridor - this in itself isn't a problem, but we found that people getting in and out of their bathrooms created quite a lot of noise as the room sound proofing isn't too great. Overall the hotel is a great value place to stay in Taormina.
