It's a Kiwi Batch
When we arrived the lights were left on and the door was unlocked. Which wasn't quite what we expected. However the property was clean and tidy and ready for guests. We discovered you can accidentally turn off the water pump as switches are unlabelled above the stove. We used the word burner fire both nights. However noticed the dampener and grate controls are all broken so the wood burns super quick...the door is difficult to close and once hot, distorts and no longer closes. Plenty of wood in shed behind the caravan. The water contains rust and is slightly discoloured and does taste metallic even though filtered. Our kids wouldn't drink it. So recommend bringing your own water for cooking and drinking.
Best bring your own sheets as the beds are made up with minimum.
Had to re-setup TV, Dish TV and DVD player as someone had disconnected antenna from Dish TV box, and incorrectly connected the RCA and Composite Video cables from Dish TV and DVD player to TV. The antenna really needs an extension as too short and leaves the Dish TV sitting behind the TV, making changing channels difficult
The Kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities.
Overall what we expected for a budget Kiwi Batch so we weren't disappointed.
Ideal for summer holidays...a bit far away for day trips to the mountains for winter activities as about 50 mins to Ruapehu or National Park.
