Very central

Very close to everything: train station, bus station, farmers market, restaurants, walking trail, churches to visit, library… Central and also very quiet and safe area. Communication with Emilia was very easy. She came to get us at the airport even if it was early in the morning and made a tour of the city to help us see where the services are.

It was the second time we stayed in this “typical Tavira home for one month. That should say it all! It’s like coming back home. We like the house, its convenient location in the old town near market and shopping and ferry to the beach. Emília always responded very quickly to any of our queries.

Wonderful Tavira Home

Emilia was very easy to communicate with and we enjoyed our stay very much. Lovely patio deck overlooking traditional homes and very quiet location. Fully equipped kitchen. 2 bedrooms. One upstairs queen sized bed connected to patio and the other off the small living room with a well ventilated ceiling sky light. Very cozy.

Perfect week-long stay in Tavira!

Superb location, and wonderful apartment. So much attention to detail to make the stay comfortable: plenty of hooks and hangers, towels, blankets, pillows, and well-stocked kitchen. The upper balcony was delightful for morning coffee and evening wine. Loved being so close to the salt flats, market, river, restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay here again. Clothes washing machine and drying line worked great too.

Lovely stay

We very much enjoyed our stay. The property is in an ideal position to walk to the main areas. There was also many useful items in the house which made our stay easier - cling film, foil, plasters, coffee, fiction books. We were staying during the heatwave, so air conditioning would have been very beneficial but there were plenty of fans. Our return flight was rescheduled at the last minute and Emilia was amazing and let us stay longer on our final day , which meant we had more or less another full day in Tavira. Which was just wonderful.

Authentical Charm in Superb Location!

Old world Charm with all the conveniences you might want in a very convenient location. Emilia was over the top in generosity & warmth in welcoming us to her very well appointed Casa. Very walkable location with a wonderful roof top terrace that allowed us to wonder Tavira by foot or just relax on the lovely patio. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed at Emilia’s house for 4 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations. The kitchen is well supplied , the beds are comfortable , when not out and about there is comfortable seating (which we have found in short supply on other places we have stayed and the terrace was wonderful. Although no air conditioning, the many windows provided ample air flow and we were always comfortable. It was very close to the daily market, ferry to the beach and the river waterfront. For us, the accommodations were the best we’ve had for our style of travel. Really, nothing negative to say.

Very house place in Tavira

Communication with the owner was always fast and efficient. She treated us the best way. It is a fascinating old house right outside the center of Tavira. Easy walking distance to the boat to Tavira Island. Easy parking in the surrounding streets. Close to the local market, if you want fresh produce. The house is quaint, but slightly overfurnished, and it has plenty of nice outdoor areas to sit. You will always find shade. The main rooftop area has shade in the evening. The rooms downstairs are considerably cooler at night than the room upstairs.

The typical Tavira house was fantastic. It was very comfortable and very well supplied with everything you could possibly need. The house was extremely clean and had all the amenities we needed. The upstairs veranda was brilliant and we had numerous meals up there. The owner was very friendly and kind and even left some special treats for us. The location is perfect and there was ample parking close by the house. We would happily go back for another visit. I highly recommend the house for anyone wanting to visit Tavira.

fabulous place to stay

we have stayed at this property before and plan to do so again and again. we have tried several different ones in Tavira and keep coming back to this one because it has everything we need and is in a fantastic location where you can experience the old architecture and have total privacy all within a short walk iof the fabulous market place. highly recommended.

Excellent house in a beautiful town.

This house is perfect for a long or short stay. It is peaceful and equipped with everything you will need. Emilia provided a lovely welcome gift and was available to help with everything. Even though it was January we were able to spend some hours on the terrace. Tavira is an authentic Algarvian town with wonderful access to walks ,markets and beaches. We spent 2 weeks here and ate out in many different local restaurants. Thank you Emilia for your hospitality. We hope to return and will tell our friends about this Pearl of the Algarve.

We really enjoyed our stay in Emilia's house. Emilia was a great host and was very helpful and kind to us throughout our stay. The house has great indoor and outdoor space. if anything the web description does not do it full justice. We made good use of all the facilities including dishwasher, washing machine and bbq. But the big drawing card is the outside terrace. We spent a lot of time there eating meals, sitting out or on the loungers. The location of the house is great with the Market and the feryboat to beach a mere 5 min walk away. There are supermarkets and little cafes nearby while the beautiful town centre is less that 10 mins walk. If you want to stay in Tavira you cannot go wrong with this property.

Conveniently located a few blocks from the Square !

The location of this townhouse is key! Only a three block walk to the heart of Taveria and the river, it's a quiet location and this townhouse was very clean and very spacious! Had everything we needed and then some, beach chairs beach towels etc. We would recommend it to a friend or stay here again ourselves.

The owner/manager was very kind and knowledgeable. The location of this traditional Tavida home is perfect for walking, yet it is quiet. The rooftop terrace is lovely. The kitchen is fully equipped.

Emilia's house is beautiful everything seems new and spotless. We met Emilia who showed us around and answered all our questions she is such a lovely person to deal with. Beautiful bedrooms both upstairs and downstairs and a big plus is the roof top terrace where we had our breakfast every morning. The apartment is close to the market and only about 5 minutes walk to the centre where there are loads of good quality restaurants and coffee shops. Would definitely recommend to couples or families.

Best winter: Tavira in a townhouse

Causy, nice for 2 persons when you stay for longer than a week. You are really a part of Tavira here. The host, Emilia is super and friendly. Good for us was the little patio behind the frontdoor: bikes and stuff had a good place there.
