Welcome to Casa Roberta, a private sanctuary in the popular Surfside Subdivision of Playa Potrero. This 3BR, 2BA home is spacious and modern with all the amenities you need for a perfect getaway. Ideal for families, couples or small groups wanting to share.

Casa Roberta has a spacious and modern open-plan design on a single level and features both indoor and outdoor living areas. Every aspect of the property has been designed to facilitate relaxing, socializing and entertaining, making it the ideal property for families or groups of friends to be together while also enjoying the option for some privacy.

The décor is Italian inspired, and the house is tastefully furnished and equipped with all the amenities you need to feel at home. The vibe is cozy but with special touches of quality to remind you that you’re somewhere special. For your comfort, air conditioning units have been installed throughout the house.

Flat screen, smart TVs are provided in each bedroom and the two living areas giving you the choice to enjoy a movie on your favorite streaming service from the comfort of the couch or from your bed. No need to argue over titles when you can send the kids to watch theirs elsewhere! All the technology is powered by a high-speed WiFi service in case you need to catch up on your emails or host a video call.

Full laundry room with a large sink for scrubbing, a washer/dryer combo and a clothesline has been installed in the garden for drying clothes. Hampers are included in both bathrooms.

Casa Roberta provides high speed WiFi (325MBPS/15MBPS). This enables excellent capacity for streaming for entertainment, video calling and general Internet usage.

CLEANING AND COVID STANDARDS

The house is thoroughly cleaned between stays, paying particular attention to Covid requirements, and a maid service is provided once per week for longer stays. The pool is cleaned weekly.

Relaxing Family Beach Holiday
Our family of 5 had a wonderful week long stay at Casa Roberta over Christmas. Potrero is great - quiet but with all the amenities you’d want. The house is exactly as advertised and had everything our family needed and lots of space. We loved the outdoor area and the pool. Lis the property manager was very helpful. The neighborhood is quiet and an easy walk to the beach or restaurants. I loved running the beach early in the morning and the kids loved playing in the waves. We had a car and loved exploring and beach hopping - especially Playa Penca! Perfect relaxing family beach holiday. We hope to be back!

Great place, kindest host
The house is all it’s cracked up to be. Great location! Lis is spectacular!!! Bad weather week before we arrived caused airport closure. Dave worked with us to extend days to accommodate late arrival (thankfully not booked week after ours). Seriously over the top kindness. Do go horseback riding with Brandy. She uses funds to rescue horses. And do take sunset cruise. We loved it so much we went twice.

Casa Roberta - Definitely was amazing!
Everything from the booking to the early check in, right up until the end, was amazing. Lis was always available to answer any questions or handle the couple little minor issues that arose with the water and the pool. I had emailed Dave prior to arriving and he was very quick to respond to me and we had back and forth correspondence for a few days, which was very much appreciated by me. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone who is planning on traveling to Potrero in the future.

Ready To Go Back!
The house is well situated in Potrero and I’ve already recommended to family and friends. The neighborhood is walkable and close to the “main street” in town which is small, with great restaurants. We often walked from the house to eat, shop local artists. There are great breweries and one has a self serve thrift store, 2nd floor, using Venmo for purchases. The Casa Roberta pdf provided prior to arriving was incredible and I reviewed it often. The pool is clean and well maintained. For families it will be helpful to know the house sliding door has an alert that dings when the slider is opened. This was a big deal for me, traveling with kids, and wanting a safety plan with kids around the pool. The home and pictures are exactly as listed with individual AC in bedrooms and main room. The manager was great and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend working with manager to hire in Glenda for homemade dinner. We hired Glenda and it was superb! My wish list for the house: 1. Boogie boards for kids 2. Beach umbrella 3. A notice or information on VRBO about the extra outside insurance company that I was required to pay for. After asking the owner I understood the need for this vetting process for the safety of all parties.

Perfect place for a family!
This Airbnb has everything a family needs to have a great stay in Costa Rica. After staying at a hotel for a few nights, we couldn’t wait to get here and be able to really stretch out and for everyone to have their own bedroom. The beds are super comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. Also, we loved having our very own pool to dip in after a day at the beach - heaven! The owner and property manager Lis were both very responsive and were proactive in making sure we had everything we needed.

A perfect tropical family holiday.
Casa Roberta met all our needs and then some! The house is in a quiet, well-serviced local neighbourhood, away from most tourist traffic, and it's tastefully furnished, with all modern appliances and equipment. The pool is a real bonus, especially on very hot days, and the outdoor living spaces are airy and inviting. There are many beautiful beaches within easy access, and also plenty of grocery options and a variety of good restaurants. Our party ranged in age from 29 months to 77 years, and we could not have had a more inclusive and happy holiday. Finally, we were most impressed with the service provided by the property manager and her crew and this is certainly a property and a location that we would recommend,

Casa Roberta is a Cool Spot!
Casa Roberta was precisely as advertised. It was a wonderful stay for our family. We enjoyed the authentic experience of living in a neighborhood and felt very safe the entire time. Our goal was to find beaches and relax; this house was perfect. Communication with the property manager was easy and quick. The AC blew cold and was definitely needed. The beds were comfy, and we all slept well. The location was great - close to some beautiful beaches like Playa Penca, Conchal, and Flamingo. It’s also near other amenities like groceries, restaurants, souvenirs, etc. One thing to understand about the house is that it is located in a neighborhood. There is a mix of locals and other VRBOs. It is not a condo at a resort. The dogs next door occasionally barked, one of the neighbors worked on their motorcycle, and there was some construction in the area. It’s not unlike a typical neighborhood. We did not want to stay at a resort; we wanted to live in a home, so none of these things were a problem for us and we would absolutely stay at Casa Roberta again.

I have stayed all over portrero, flamingo and playa conchal. This is one of best houses I’ve stayed in. Super private and safe with a great patio and pool area. It’s walking distance to Perlas and The shack which is also important 😁

Great home base
Casa Roberta was a beautiful home. Our family of three (me, husband, and 7 year old kid), had a fun and relaxing stay. The bedrooms were large fitted with comfortable beds, the kitchen was open, spacious, and had all of the things we needed. Bathrooms had good showers, and were large. plenty of hot water. The outdoor area with a table, TV, couches, grill and hammock were where we spent most of our time - our kiddo enjoyed that we could watch cartoons on netflix and have our breakfast outside, which was often interrupted by a jump in the pool. There is a washer/dryer combo, but if you have done any traveling, you know that the dryer function usually ends up giving you crispy socks. We just used the drying rack and hung clothes outside to dry - because it is so warm, they were dry in an afternoon. The location is great - you are right near so many beautiful beaches and great restaurants. We went zip lining, on an ATV tour, visited an eco park and spent time on the beach - a great vacation. I walked many mornings from the home to the beach for some exercise and felt completely safe doing so alone. This is a great place to stay!

The property and location were perfect! The rooms were very clean and comfortable, bathrooms large and clean, and the main kitchen and living room were great places for the family to hang out after our excursions! And on top of it, the outdoor patio area and pool layout were great and a wonderful place to hang out to get away from the heat of Potrero and relax after busy days. We will certainly look to book this property if and when we're back in Potrero!

Great stay
Just back from 2 weeks at Casa Roberta. We had a great time in Potrero and surrounding areas. The house was very well appointed and quite roomy. Beds were comfortable and even the pillows were good. You have everything you need to make a meal in if desired. The bbq worked fine also. The pool was very nice and welcomed after a day of excursions. A few pool noodles or floaties would be a nice add on for some extra fun. You are a 10 minute walk to the beach and even closer to restaurants and shopping. The house was quiet at night which was nice for us. All in all, we would go back again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to our friends and family. Lillian was very prompt in addressing our needs and quite pleasant to deal with. You have a beautiful house Dave, thanks for sharing with us.

Beautiful property close to the beach
We had a wonderful time at the property. Close enough to walk to the beaches, restaurants, cafe, and market but still private. The house was clean and the pool was a nice relief from the mid 30s temps. The outdoor dining table and lounge area were used more than the inside of the house. We loved our stay and didn't want to leave. Lots of birds in the trees outside of the house including parrots. Definitely 5 stars.
