Unfortunately the first room I was put in the radiator and heated towel rail didn't work. Staff were very helpful and changed my room, this one, however was in a very noisy part of the hotel as was my Sons room which was over the venue room where a party was taking place, so we both had a poor nights sleep. Breakfast was a nightmare, they were very busy and there were not enough staff on. the poor staff were run ragged and the buffet was often empty or missing key items such as sausage, bacon, eggs. I'm sure the hotel was aware of the events they had the night before so why they didn't put sufficient staff on for breakfast is beyond me

Secluded area but easy access to the main roads. Hotel was ok but had heating issues on the original room and bathtub but soon moved to better room. Housekeeping wasn’t up to a standard. Pool was nice specially for the kids, would better if kids could go on it for longer.

A taste of Oxford
Whilst stay was comfortable we expected more. A deluxe room in a 4 star Hotel, Comfortable and clean but just basic. Lovely Bathroom but no window or extractor fan, not good. The room area had no main ceiling light, just lamps making it feel very dreary. The staff were pleasant but appeared to be very young and inexperienced in offering a 4 star service. Beautiful decor and seating in the restaurant but very odd to arrive early for dinner before many others and order fillet steak to be told they only have one!!...and had to laugh when ordering a latte and the waitress mentions that the guy has had ago at a design on top in the cream. All seemed very odd and quite surprising. Not sure we would stay again for the price. Deluxe should be luxury which it wasn't.

Great room. Terrible food.
The service at reception was great. The room was very clean, comfortable and looked like it had been redecorated recently. I had a view of the courtyard which was nice. I had booked a treatment in the spa which was carried out by Sophie and was excellent. There were some aspects of the spa that were not so great. They had no robes on arrivsl do i was told to wait in the spa lounge and fill out my treatment firm and the spa receptionist would come back yo collect my form and give me a ribe as he was expecting more to be delivered. I waited for 20 mins. When i went back to the spa front desk, the robes were in a pile waiting. No apology, no explanation. Also on entry to the steam room i found a naked man in there. It didn't bother me particularly but may well have made someone else feel uncomfortable. The spa does not make any statement about nudity so i think it would be good to explain that nudity is tolerated as a fair notice to those attending. Finall, the food from the lounge bar was very poor. There is no room service so i was told i could order at the bar and take it up to my room (miles away!). I couldn't order the food ahead but was told to come down half an hour before i wanted to eat and order it then. The pizza had the thinnest smear of sauce and a verymeagre topping. The crust was nice thank goodness. I ordered the truffle dressed leaves at £ 4.50 also. I discovered back at my room it was dry rocket in a bowl with some grated cheese. No dressing. No truffle.

Overnight stop over in winter
Convenient location as close to major road but surprisingly quite. The room was a good size and well appointed. Restaurant food was delicious and the breakfast had a very good selection. Staff were attentive but not invasive, service was very good .

We had a lovely stay overall Hotel waa very modern kept clean, spa area waa very nice. Breakfast had a good choice. We found a couple of minor things with the room, the bath needed changing and a stain on one of the bed sheets.

We had an excellent stay using the hotel as a base for our family Christmas cekebration locally. We were impressed with the service quality of breakfast and comfort. Our only complaint was,that the bathroom basi was slow to drain

The hotel was being transfered to new ownership & this may of been the result of the poor service. The requested additional pillows, room service & the steam room use (mid AM) were all none existant. The result being we would have to think twice before returning to this hotel that we have used many times before - sorry but urgent improvements are needed!!

Booked 2 rooms for a 4 day long weekend with my family. On first morning was denied access to pool area. No children allowed as every day, apart from early morning and later afternoon sessions, is adult 'spa day'. Had not been told beforehand, either at time of booking or checking in. Denying access to children meant none of us could enjoy the facilities. Avoid this hotel if you have young children is my advice Very, Very disappointing and Very, Very misleading.
